Freddy still defending Cook at centre is wild and fair enough calling people uneducated if they havent played or coached, but this is a man who picked TPJ...
Coming from the UK I initially found the lads a bit dour. Now I completely understand the dry Sense of humour from all three and love listening to the stories and this has now become my go to RL podcast. Fantastic work guys.
I understand the aim of the game is to build familiarity with the audience, so we think the presenter matters but please get rid of this bloke he's shocking.
It's a penalty every day of the week Freddie, enough of the sour grapes. Ref called held, the tackled player tries to get to his feet and the defender won't let go...penalty.
Freddy saying that Tommy Raudonikis would have loved Cameron McInnes is probably the most insightful thing I have heard him say in years. The West's V Sharks games back in the 70's could only be described as 'brutal' encounters.
First time I can recall seeing Freddy that angry about anything. Chin up mate we all respect the crap out of ya. All that origin stuff was do unfair. The real ones know. Up Queensland
This show is so dry They need to swap out the host for the host who does imortal behaviour. She ask better questions and ads a bit more feel to the show. Just an opinion.
Does he though? I mean guy can't pick an origin team to save his life. Reason why he kept losing. New NSW coach doesn't seem to be picking much better either 🤷
@@Danielm219 I keep saying it, Freddy is 9/18 as a coach, second to Gus as the best blues coach, 31 games as a player and captain of the only blues clean sweep.
blows my brain that some of these experts can't seem to figure it out. 6/7 goes down 13 goes to 6 yeo comes into lock. 9 goes down 13 goes to 9 yeo comes into 13. no injuries yeo plays middle. anyone in backline goes down young goes to centre and either centre pushes to wing/fullback. please someone point to a player on the field who isn't covered by an injury with minimal disruption?
13 goes to 6? McInnes has never played five eighth in his life lmaooo also Young has barely any centre experience so big RIP if any backline goes off. Massively rate Madge's picks but cope is so real when it comes to no back on the bench.
Having Hunt and DCE affords Billy to bring in Sua and Selwyn on the interchange. NSW have no solid proof to bring in Burton. Mag is right, heavy in forwards. But bring in Trell for whoever.... just bring in Trell
Ashley Klein is not a first grade ref, let alone Origin and Tests. Our current crop of refs is the worst ever, thanks to him and Sutton. I hope there's some fresh blood coming through, asap.
While Julie Bishop is employed to delay the court proceedings for compensation payments so that the claimants die before their compo is payed out. Lest we forget.
Klein can't manage a ruck to save his life, but that was a penalty. Tackle was complete, no need for Martin to join, and Crighton doesn't let go. Strange hill to die on when you picked TPJ on the verge of quitting the game in dreadful form, and played Cook and Hynes at centre with so many options available...
I think they were talking about the minority of supporters that are never happy no matter what you do. I don't think they were talking about "minorities".
It’s 83% have lost the game. There are teams who have won a game with an outside back injury, first comes to mind is Manly vs Roosters when Garrick went down. IMO the key is to carry a player who can play in the forwards/spine and in the backs, in Manly’s case Burbo came on and played centre
that stat joey mentioned about any team that's lost an outside back in the first half is wrong since gold Coast beat Brisbane last round when Tony Francis git injured
It sucks that edwards is already 28 and this is the first time he’s been given a chance at origin. At best, he’ll probably get 3 years players in a team he should have been in 3 years ago.
Can understand why Joey doesn't want to go near coaching the blues, look at how it ruined Freddy's reputation and distorted everyone's memories of him... sad
Freddy if you can’t see you lost 2023 at the selection table and with your interchange use I don’t know what to tell you. Unbelievable such a brilliant player knows nothing about coaching.
Freddy was criticsed because he picked Nicho to play a position he had never played before when he could have activated Matt Burton who was 18th man, because Thomas Flegler was sent to the sin bin for a high shot on Tom Trbojevic. Thank god he's not coach anymore.
Shut up Freddy. Saying you need a back on the bench when he put Cook in a centre. I love him trying to justify that decision by saying he had a good game. It was one of the worst coaching calls ever when he had Yeo and Murray there to play instead.
@@ib344 It was much more of a penalty then the sin bin that Thomas Flegler had in the last 12 minutes , and more of a penalty then millions of other penalties called today. But lets complain because we lost.
Being a talented athlete isn’t the same as being mentally adept. Craig Bellamy, Trent Robinson, Wayne Bennett, Tim sheens are the best coaches of the last 40 years. They range from abysmal to mediocre footballers. Terry lamb, bob mcarthy, Brad Fittler, Arthur beetson, Tom radonikis and Wally Lewis are all legendary players none have a positive nrl coaching record. Dont conflate physical prowess to mental capacity.
Did Freddy say that James Hardie have jump back on board with Parra, so have all the people that James Hardie Poisened died. So James Hardie think it is OK to come back to Australia after they stopped paying compensation to their victims and skipped the country and ran off to the US until many people forgot about what they did - Parra must be Complicit in that sort of BS if they think it is OK.
There is no way Cobbo is there purely to cover potential injuries. They’re already sacrificing an interchange for their Hooker situation, no way they would give up a front rower on the bench just for Cobbo to wait there in case of injury. Surely he comes on to provide power at 5/8 or fullback.
He lost his job because of someone else's decision...have you lost your job like that before...didn't think so. I'm sure there's things that happened in your life a year ago you still think about today
A lot of the things that led to then loosing the series was out of his control. He also made some great choices. The series we won the team was unaffected by Injury. Seems like the common denominator is injuries
