I love the almost running gag they have of something horrible happening to his character. In season 1 he gets disemboweled, in season 2 he gets shot in the face and in season 3 he gets burnt to a crisp and he keeps surviving. I wish him a speedy convalescence and hope he isn’t very ugly.

Honestly, I do hope they kill this man in the show if it ever gets renewed. Not because I hate the character but rather because of everything that has happened to him, from getting his organs taken out, getting framed by Hannibal, getting shot in the face and somehow surviving and.... the red dragon.... oh my god... don't even get me started on that guy. After what the red dragon did to him, I don't see why life would be worth living for him anymore. I'm pretty sure he'd want to be euthanized.

Just realised that everything horrible that happens to Chilton is Hannibal's doing- when he gets his liver removed, it was Abel Gideon under Hannibal's influence. When he was shot in the head it was Miriam Lass under Hannibal's influence, and when he was burned alive it was Francis Dolarhyde acting on Hannibal (and Will's) influence. It's like Chilton is his plaything.
