After graduating college my best friend and I did a road trip around Texas and Fredericksburg/Enchanted Rock was our first stop! :D so many great memories!
I know what you mean........The minute my feet leave Texas soil (which is often because I travel a lot) I feel like a part of me is missing. There is just something so magic about Texas. Just pure delight on so many levels. I have had the privilege to live in all 5 climatic zones of this great state for one reason or another and the weather is different in all parts. You get that when you have such a huge state, but my favorite personally is the Hill Country and West Texas. Nothing like it. I am sure a lot of people feel the same way about their state.❤
I live in Fredericksburg tx and it is super awesome! I would recommend checking it out, but come during the winter, because we have all kinds of christmas stuff and it gets really hot during the summer.
Very cool. What part of Germany are you from? I spent six years of my life in Beautiful Germany. Pre COVID I would visit Germany at least once or twice a year and sometimes three. I am actually visiting Fredericksburg next week and I am looking forward to it. :)
Great news about potentially being back on the road. Hopefully 4th July is the head out date for me in the UK as well and weekends away and some longer tours can begin!!!!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK The plan is maybe to do some Dales 30 in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. I have a longer affair in the The Lakes mid-July. I am hoping to get the tour through the spine of Wales in that was for earlier in the year. We shall see. Staycation demands are high in the UK currently.
Wow, that sounds amazing! We have watched some UK vlogs through Wales and the Lakes District and it looks incredible! We cannot wait to visit the UK again someday 😍
The peach stand that they went to is really good. It has really good peaches and some of the best prices. If you want amazing peaches for a super cheap price, drive down Ranch Road 1376 past KOA campgrounds, and there will be a place with a giant sign that says peaches on it. It is run by our gillespie county commissioner. All of the peaches are a really good price, and all of the fruit is organic. He uses his own homemade organic pest repellent that is 100% organic and safe (no pesticides). He is also just a really nice guy to talk to.
You guys has us at peach ice cream 😁 I'm not sure what it is but for some reason the edit style on this episode really moves in a different but fun fun way. Love it:) We're actually heading to San Antonio for the 4th of July weekend and hoping to hit a few of these stops before returning to the Gulf Coast. Thanks for this share topped off with a yummy foodie tease. James and Kim
We aren’t sure what we did different either lol, but we are so glad you enjoyed it! San Antonio is our favorite city in Texas after Austin and we hope y’all have a blast! Make sure to get some puffy tacos (we still have yet to try them!) and the Pearl Brewery area is super cool. We hope to film a vlog there the next time we are back in Austin 🙌🏼😃
I’m loving these Texas vlogs looks awesome 👍 thanks for working so hard to get us the views from the top 👏👏 I’m like Adam I can’t wait to get a haircut 🙈
So happy to see yall in Fredericksburg! I love Otto's! So yummy! I just realized my profile picture is of me on enchanted rock. Y'all are so inspiring. Sending hugs from the Texas hill country.
@@AdventuresofAplusK The museum there is pretty impressive on the Pacific war. The Auslander for some food. I took my boyfriend's german mother there and she was impressed. Of course Luckenbach nearby (I'm sure yall have heard of that being from here). I was very impressed by Old Tunnel State Park and watching the bats take off from the tunnel. Wimberley is another one of my favorite small towns near Austin.
We hadn’t heard of Old Tunnel State Park until this visit and it sounds so cool! Adam is dyinggggg to visit that museum. We will have to come back when we are back in TX and indoor activities are safer!
My wife and I just spent a week in Fredricksburg. We stayed at a really neat cabin in the Gotton Gin B&B village. The blue bonnets were not quite blooming yet but we are also in a drought. :(
Enjoyed 😊 We living a German heritage city with a 12 day Oktoberfest festival in, yes October each year, lot's of delicious food and beers to enjoy! My husband and our pup Finn each got a grooming last week 😊 Both feeling much happier and cooler😊🍁
Ooo cool! We have loved visiting towns with German heritage-we bet that Oktoberfest is so much fun! And it’s crazy how much a haircut can make you feel better. Adam is feeling like a new man! Lol!
You all should go cave exploring it's really fun. Clear river is also a really good ice cream store you all should also check out Bear Creek and. If you all come back to Fredericksburg check out Hilda they have really great breakfast tacos but make sure you get there early there's a long line in the mornings
This is very helpful!!! We are going there to Frederickburg for the weekend 2 weeks from now and I have no clue what's open and what not, thank you for this video!!! I'll be posting mine too on my channel 😁
Next time you need to take a drive through Willow city loop it’s between Fredericksburg and enchanted rock it’s one of the most beautiful places the drive-through in the Hill country Especially when the bluebonnets are in full bloom
I don't know if my eyes ere messing with me, but that rock actually looked like it was moving, LOL. Don't punch cactus, they bite. My dad has some friends in Fredricksburg, and he said he had some BBQ out there that was smoked using peach wood. Apparently smoking with peach wood adds a whole new flavor to the BBQ, but it's hard to come by peach wood, almost making it a delicacy. We are headed to Enchanted rock right now for some cold weather tent camping. I found y'all again, trying to see if the bathrooms and showers have a heater in there. I guess we will have to film that and put it in our video. Y'all, rock, we love your adventures. Might have to find some peach ice cream this weekend.
Ooo peach wood BBQ sounds very good! Have a great time at the park! Wish we had intel on the campground, but I don’t think we have ever camped there. Stay warm!
Awesome road trip folks. I have just found you and watched y our video and I loved it. I am flying into Dallas next weekend will be driving to Fredericksburg and I am looking forward to it. I will be on a quest for Spaghetti Eis lol. I travel to Germany at least once, twice, or sometimes three times a year (pre-COVID of course). I have a RU-vid channel and I love sharing my experiences. I have subscribed to your channel as I am looking forward to viewing your past and future videos :). Thank You both for sharing :).
Have a wonderful trip! We'd love to visit Germany someday! Fredericksburg will definitely have a more Texan feel than Germany I am sure, but it's cool to see how other cultures have influenced the state!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Thank You so much , I am looking forward to my trip and to see and explore Fredericksburg. Please don’t hesitate to contact me when you are ready to Tavel to Germany. As a hobby I construct awesome itineraries and i don’t charge a thing. I love to help people travel and my reward is to hear from whoever that I help travel to Germany tell me that had an awesome time. :) :)
Drive through fredericksburg on my delivery route. Beautiful place. I see all these shops but can't stop because I'm in the delivery truck! :( My fiance and I are going to drive down there soon!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I go to SO many cities in Texas. I work for a raw dog food company called "Texas Tripe." I deliver the product to cities throughout the whole state.
Wait wait wait, the thing where you have to walk up the rocky trails onto that big dome-shaped rock... you do this for fun? Also, why'd you go to Otto's and get the wurst platter? You should've paid a little more and got a better one LOL!
"I punched a cactus by accident" 🤦♀️🤣Just me or did anyone else get really squeamish when Adam was pulling out the needles 🤢 I feel you guys with the need to pre-book doing anything and there not being slots available. We got National Trust passes for Christmas from -my mum- Santa and we've barely been able to use them, every time I try and book something for a weekend, it's already full. I'm keeping everything crossed that the next blog sees you both back on the road - dying to know where you're headed, but if this video is anything to go by, I'm guessing north... less hot!
We were squealing behind the scenes watching him do that. Ouch! We’re so sorry to hear you’re facing the same book in advance struggles! We hope you’re able to use that pass from Santa soon! 😉 And we can’t wait to share what our plans are, but we can confirm you’re 100% right, it’ll be somewhere cooler!
The top is pretty awesome! But even the views halfway up are amazing. Definitely on the rock though, that’s our favorite part. Congrats on your almost engagement!
