Fredro Starr addresses everything including Tupac, Suge Knight wanting to sign him to Death Row Records, DMX Beef, Moesha Show problems, Jam Master Jay's and Merlin Santana's murder, Lamont Bentely's death and much more.
Ya know old age is a blessing the saddest thing is when people die young and that seems to be an epidemic nowadays they always say God he was so young and I never wanted that to be my story praise God even when they die in their 30s and 40s they say he was so young and I survived both and all I want is more but if our father says it's time to go I wouldn't and shouldn't be upset because I've lived longer than the prediction so if God said enough I have no complaints like Lord I didn't even get to.... cuz I did everything and I'm still here praise God
@@shyheededwards6729 actor watch strapped and sunset park from him he’s rapper from the famous group onyx has pictures with biggie 2pac and dmx he’s a legend
Shouts out to Fredro! Dude is like walking Hip Hop history. He walked us through the Boom Bap movement, East-West rivalry, post-Gangsta Era, and "rapper to actor" movement in just 2 hours! Bro is definitely an OG of OGs and needs his cigars.

Talk about a brotha who was constantly “outside”. Fredro represents a perfect balance of handling business while having lots of FUN and managing to stay out controversy in the process
We here baby!! In the Top 10 Comments!! Fredro always been my favorite member of Onyx. Glad he survived the industry and still alive to tell his stories and share memories of all the Legends with us. We didn't have social media back then so all we got is these interviews from the legendary artists that lived it👏🏾
12:55 to 15:21 Tupac Shakur was a real one. He told Fredro Starr in body language and eye 👀 contact that joining Deathrow wasn't a Good ideal....that right there tells you that Tupac Shakur had respect n love for Fredro Starr...he didn't want him to get caught up in some bullshit.....Tupac Shakur was a real one...... Rest In Peace Tupac Shakur 🙏🏾🕊️🙏🏾🕊️🙏🏾🕊️
For some reason I could picture pac giving him that look it's crazy kind remind me of the scene in juice when pac was bout to get beat up by the spanish kid and saw his friends coming but Q nd the fat boy didn't help he gave that look like..
At the sametime...it goes to show Pac was trying to get off deathrow...he already ad his own shhh out dah gutta... But to escape prison he had to sign On..!!
Damn 2002 feels like yesterday wen hearn j mastr got lit like ah candle n poof they put his light out ; lights out . Yo FREDO dat was jada n pic wit pac stop play n lol - cyke
HE did that shytt a few times in this interview too like HE said I ain’t get fired then 30secs later they said they wanted to go in a another direction that’s why they fired ME but I still got paid WTF Nicah LOL
I've heard Fredro's interviews over the years. He never disappoints. And, this is the most thorough and detailed interview of his by far. All of the stories that he told in this interview that he told in the past matched exactly. No lies told by this man.
Fredro got his dates all mixed up, Sunset Park was in April 96 (2 months after All Eyez On Me dropped) Suge and Pac became associates after he bailed Pac out in late 95 then signed him to Death Row, and the beef between Pac and Big was set off in late 94 after the Quad Studio shooting which in turn led to “East vs West” beef. So yeah, at the time Pac went to his movie, things were definitely hot and the beef was on, lol it was months before he dropped “Hit ‘Em Up”. It’s dope that he actually showed up to an east coast rappers movie premiere during the height of all this tension, that shows Pac was a stand up dude 💯
I'm from his era, and listening to him rename the clubs, the music, the rappers, took me back in time for a good time! This interview and him are all dat!! Thank you!
Facts Lamont Bentley went to school with me, we sat next to each other for several years in elementary school Beasley, Bentley. He was hilarious, he use to make the meanest old school teachers crack up. When he left he use to give me shout outs people would tell me in Milwaukee when I was at Shaw U in NC, peace Fredro
Lawd help me. I still have a crush on Fredro. I love when my 90’s people still hot and taking care of themselves. Sending love and light. Great interview. PS. Give us a movie about ONYX ❤
I think he’s married and you might be disrespecting his wife. He’s still fine AF but be careful about him being unavailable. I don’t think you can compliment people like this anymore. Respectfully
Oh snap. I’m sorry to disrespect him or his family. I don’t follow him like that and perhaps still learning social media etiquette. I was truly sending genuine love and compliments. I’m sure Fredro will never see this post or entertain it because he’s too booked and busy for our comments
Those of us who are old enough to remember the vibe in HipHop and R&B in the 90s know exactly how FIRE it was. The 90s was my High School years and looking back I know for sure it was 🔥🔥🔥
Yoo this is definitely the best Fredro Starr interview mane🙌🏾🔥❗️ A straight up legend! That breakfast club interview he did years ago was iconic 😂💯 Fredro’s A Great story teller, & rest easy to Lamont Bentley, Merlin Santana, & Kobe Bryant. That Onyx Hoodie dope af too 💪🏾⚡️❗️
Great Interview..! 🥰 Fredro Seems To Be An Honest, Genuine, and Down To Earth Man..! I Liked His Mannerism, and Style..! Great Interview 👊🏽 He Still Looks Good..! 💯
“Don’t go pass Pico” is a real mf’ing thing. Fredro is talking about LA at is paramount status for Black people. The O.J. Trial was out. I lived off of MLK & Crenshaw in the 40’s. Graduated from Crenshaw High. Maaaaaaan. Came in from a small town in Louisiana. I hooked up with this girl who was an intern for the Magic Johnson Foundation and BET. And I would get into these Hollywood parties & functions. (From the Hood to Hollywood everyday) We got tickets to everything. I saw a lot. What he’s saying, he’s not lying. I can definitely relate. While he’s talking I’m looking at pictures now. I remember we were at the Lakers game and Chris Childs smacked Kobe (rest in peace Kobe 🕊️) we were sitting next to Jay-Z taking pictures. That’s when J was supposed to sign with Dre but the deal didn’t go through. Another 🔥 interview Art 💯
Niggas who don't know Pac kill me talking about how he was b4 Death Row....YOU DIDN'T KNOW HIM. Pac always been wild. Getting shot 5 times, having your closest homies turn on you, then locked up on bogus charges for almost a year would have an effect on anybody. So no matter what label he was gonna be on, Pac was gonna be Pac. & Suge ain't have nothing to do with Pac's character. He came to death row with 2 AA batteries in his back. There was plenty of times when Suge was trynna calm Pac down. So this NY narrative about Death Row changing Pac gotta stop. Pac was Pac on death row.
The amount of experiences and people fredro has met is crazy. One of the most driven men in hip hop and I think highly rated by those who know but VERY underrated overall and sticky too. I also love when guests are so comfortable in the interview that they talk and get to express their story. Shout to Art for the talent to interview and let it flow like this.
Dope interview Art I been a subscriber of ya channel for awhile now. Respectfully I wish you would have covered his rap battle with Keith Murray. I’m surprised you didn’t talk about that
im so happy he is still here to share his story, especially when you asked him about Lamont Bentley. some men don't realize talking is a form of therapy. death hurts, we're all human no matter if you're a so called gangster or not.
i appreciate yall for not breaking up these interviews into smaller portions and posting them separately. that is annoying. thank you. onyx my fav since day 1
