I hate this time of year. Last year we lost Trevor and this year I can only hope we don't lose Castellanos, traded Tucker Barnhardt away yesterday in a salary dump and I am afraid more of the same coming in the next few days I am afraid. This is the biggest problems for small market teams like the Reds. We no sooner get a decent team and then have to sell them off.

Are Free Agents who get a QO able to negotiate with other teams before the QO deadline passes? Or as soon as they reject the offer, can the talk to other teams?

Yes, they can negotiate with other teams as soon as they're tendered the offer. It gives the player's agent a chance to get a feel for if they can get a better deal on the market.

the calendar is just a random example calendar--in the video I explain that it will change every year depending on when the season ends. I was just giving you the framework of how to figure out when each key date/deadline will fall
