Great work, mate, save the old bikes. I keep checking in, and I hope your channel blows up as it should. Keep doing what you're doing. Would like to have a gt in that colour. I'll keep an eye out for one in the UK for my channel 👍
Bikes like that might be a tad outdated by todays standards but they were so well built that, unless they were truly neglected, they often don't take much work to make work again. As far as what to do with it, I say since it's in your size you should take it to another level and rock it for a while. I think you should do budget drop bar conversion. I don't think 3X8 brifters aren't too expensive and should have the same pull rates for the derailleurs. The brakes might be a different story, but I do have a bike with 9 speed Sora and V-brakes and with the right adjustment they do work. I would put a rigid fork on it and run the biggest tires it will hold (2.4ish). Budget vintage drop bar monster! Might even be algorithm friendly?!
Yep gotta floss your nether rejions... way better hey! Ditch the kicker. I ride a similar era fisher from 98. Love the feel of chromoly. Really enjoy riding it.
@@ForslundFunFactory Nice... Yeah get out and have fun. I am getting ready to resto-mod my fisher with a NOS marzocchi Z3 fork. It currently has the OEM RS indy XC elastomer fork. I need to get a tube cutter and a star-nut tool first though.
@@ForslundFunFactory Hmm... Yeah I think I might. I don't really do bike related content on my chan. I didn't think there would be much intrest in old bikes, but I could be wrong on that.
Thanks for the feedback. When I edit I keep my intro normal speed, but find I would probably lose viewers if I was not speeding up my commentary. I put it on 1.5 speed, which lowers the pauses quite a bit Maybe I’m wrong… but most of my videos on average don’t even see 1/4 viewing of the length of the videos. Hmm.
