We found free camping at Elbe Hills ORV Campground with a Discover Pass. Elbe Hills ORV Campground is a new campground administered by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and offers free camping with the Washington State Discover Pass. In this video, I provide a walking tour of this new free camping opportunity. There was no cellular service for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile at the campground, but there was AT&T and T-Mobile cellular service at the ORV trailhead. as always your channel is the best resource for affordable camping. Thank you for showing the roads, signs and even Cell coverage. Having only 2wd there are limits to what campsites (especially free) I can access. I will be on the road most of 2022 and I will def mention your channel when I find your sites. Thank you for posting the coordinates!! Google maps didn’t take us to the correct spot. We were about 20 min out from where we needed to be. Excited to stay!!😊

Whoa!! Thats a remote camping area. Looked nice,....but....umm, Gr...Gri... Grizzly bear....umm, nah...I think I will have to pass ! Very nice looking campground Lou, and, dont get me wrong, and it is a fantastic video and I did enjoy visiting there, on your video....BUT, I dont think I could stay. The bear's would sniff me out, the moment I parked the car!! Beautiful location, and forest tho! Happy Trails ! vicky (and I know you had your, "bear spray" on your person this time !!!) lol

When they say seven day limit, does that mean seven nights / seven 24-hour periods? Because if it's seven calendar days then that's only six nights. I just want to make sure I don't overstay my welcome.

free camping? Every time I head up the gate is closed. Even in summer. Do you know what is going on. This beautiful new campground that they don't want anyone to use. What gives?

At the 7:20 mark, It states reservation required. We have called the number on that board and have reserved a campground two different times. The camp ground is locked to keep out the forest squatters who pull up in half broken down RVs and squat for months at a time. Call and get your reservation, and with your confirmed reservation and the discovery pass, they will give you the gate code for your time slot.
