Another great video guys, really loving this series that you are currently on. No matter how much solar we have, it is never enough when the conditions are not right for it. Having a gas cooker is a life saver, not too many people are aware of that now a days. Looking forward to next weeks episode.

Mate, the "Gully Pub" is one of the oldest licensed pubs in Qld, built in 1864. The oldest licensed pub on mainland Australia is the Macquarie Arms at Windsor NSW, opened 31/7/1815. Windsor is one of the five Macquarie towns established in the Hawkesbury region to establish a food bowl to feed Sydney. Gov Macquarie had the towns (Pittown, Wilberforce, Windsor, Richmond and Castlereagh) laid out and commission four buildings to be constructed in each, a Courthouse, a church, a school and an inn. -

Another fun video guys, thanks for that. I must admit we love the induction in our van, we went completely gas-less with our current build. That said, we just went to 600amp on the battery side which wasn’t cheap…. And we also carry a generator as well!

Those filters must be a must have. Cheryl had bad stomach after a stop once in Queensland on our to Long Reach not good but a brilliant chemist in Balcardine gave her some mixture which sorted her 24 hours very lucky.! Anyway another good cold one for you, and we loving the trip....👍

A generator is good even if you don't use it much because you are free from the dictates of the weather. We just take our for hot or cold weather. Something you might like is " Google a stump vice " for sharpening your chainsaw.

One day drive, Mansfield, King Valley road. Stay a stringybark Creek campground. Do the 1 km walk, the Kennedy tree place. Stop at power lookout. Then, into the king valley from a winery. Pick the right time look back. You might see snow on the mountains. Then to Greta. Ned and family are buried there. Then Glenrowan, they been doing the place up. There is a new Ned's history place there.

Had some great nights at Nindigully pub!! The annual pig races is a top weekend!! And yes the XXXX Bitters are good going down but rough in the swag the next morning 😂. Scrambled eggs in the webber pot are the best 👌 (bacon could be crisper) my wife says the exact same thing 🤦‍♂️ Keep up the great content 👏

Hey Justin, Love seeing your caravanning vids again… When you live in Victoria and camp in the winter, a genny is a fairly handy thing. I fitted a second power inlet and change over switch so I can power “just” the ac-dc… that way I run my inverter genny in eco mode and you can barely hear it.

You look so young, but I carry the backup gas cooking with disposable cylinders. They go forever, less weight, so move to the future and get with it, I cook on induction every night

great to see u guys back well done btw i google the oldest licensed pub in australia and it is he Hope and Anchor Tavern (formerly Hope and Anchor Hotel, the Alexandra, the Whale Fishery and the Hope) is an Australian pub in Hobart, Tasmania. Built in 1807, it is the oldest continually licensed pub in Australia

1st of all Justin I like that jacko mate of yours lol like me a fellow blue supporter from penrith it was a great game the 3rd origin go us blues great epp again highlighting some of outback qld pubs we were recently in lightning ridge an slipped up to hebel pub for 2 nites great camping at rear of pub an yes across the road at dinner a great feed to when we were in pub that nite I ask the publican if I could hang my hat up on wall above bar so I left my blues cap up they I got some hard boos doing it but it was fun banter lol cant wait for nx epp stay kool

heh, I can't stand gas and I can't stand generators. the best thing is to up spec your power replenishment systems. Our van is 100% electric, with 600Ah battery and 900W of solar. We can also pump in 600W from the car if needed. That said, I'd like to add another 900W of solar so we could run the AC for extended periods

Ever thought about 48V systems to run ya van from? The efficiency of the 48V circuits running everything don’t pull all ya power out of ya battery so fast.. aircon/induction cook tops etc.. no sweat.. 12v systems work fine put like ya say drains ya main battery to fast cause of less efficiency. Check out the Harvok Vans mate.. their systems are wickid.. then things like induction cook tops become no real issue.

hey guys ! just put down money on a new SA built van in Adelaide ! have the option to go full induction or just keep the gas cooking outside its only a 16 solitaire ! i say lets go full induction, then i say no ! lets keep the gas and get some portable induction plates and just pug them in ! i would hate to chase power will have 600 lithium and 800 solar on the roof might be enough for two old people lol we only get one shot at making the decisions ! after watching this video i grabbed the wife and said watch this about induction lol !!!! any help if your not busy yes we always take a gen , never use it , unless we really need it , if not for us it has helped out others on our travels we love watching the kids get older thanks

From our experience mate, we would stick to a gas cooker and carry a portable induction cooktop. We will be changing back to gas cooktop in next van for sure 👌🤙

Nah, means induction cooktops arent suited to fulltime cooking duties on a 600amp power system unless you have perfect weather and drive everyday no matter what brand..

@TripInAVan There is another group who swear by the induction cooking in their van that has a decent sized Enerdrive system which is why I asked the question. Keep up the great work with the videos mate love watching them for years now

@@TheBear351 the other part of the picture is these guys are doing a trip without the massive kinds of jumps you get in WA and far north, plus winter sun is harder for solar as well with shorter days and lower position of the sun in the sky. I’ve just come back from a few months up around that way and was shocked at how the solar underperformed compared to our usual Tassie summer solar returns.
