Thank you SO MUCH!! I have never faithfully followed a long series like this, but your tutorials changed all this, I am now confident that I will follow the whole thing until the end without missing a single lab. Thank you!
In case anyone runs across having the correct HSRP config on both R1 and R2 router and still getting the duplicate IP message and incorrect show standby output, wr mem the config and reload the routers. I was about to pull my hair out over this issue and this fixed it for me.
The lab does mention in step 4 to "Save the config first" before turning off the router, which can be done with "wr mem" or "copy run start". I didn't have this issue in my lab.
I just finished reading CCNA 200-301 both vol.1 and vol.2 cert guides, excluding all the topics that are covered in this series. And also finished the old CCNA wireless and CWAP, CWSP cert guides as well. Now reading CCNP/CCIE ENCOR 350-401 cert guide. I'm thinking about taking the exam early next month. Hopefully, I did the right thing. I had absolutely no idea about the networking concepts before I took this course. I tried some other udemy courses but nothing worked for me. So thanks a lot Jeremy. I owe you big time. And this is definitely the best course on CCNA out there. I really appreciate your work.
Sounds like you're in a good position! If you can spare the cost, maybe try out Boson ExSim and see how you do on those before going for the real thing. If not, just review the exam topics list again, and if you feel comfortable with all of it, go for it!
Thank you again sir! i can't help but drop a thank you comment everytime i finish your video and each topic. This lab is awesome, it gets my curiousity of undiscussed out of CCNA scope topic boiling more and more each time i finish your video. You are heaven sent.
Hi jeremy thank you so much for this wonderful course. To be more connected to us your viewers I suggest we create a whatsapp group much like a community where we can exchange ideas so as to enable interaction with other course viewers , share ideas and get to know ourselves better.
Jeremy. As someone who finished all your videos. I feel confident day by day, what was your biggest motivation in achieving your ccna / ccnp etc? Is consistency the key to your success? or hard grinding hours and hours. thanks :D
My motivation was to change jobs! I was teaching English and didn't like it, so I wanted to get my CCNA/CCNP to switch into networking. I'd say consistency is more important than just grindings hours and hours, although you have to put in a lot of time to get these certifications, that's unavoidable.
I just realized I commented this on the wrong video. I enjoyed the troubleshooting of day 28s lab. Not much to troubleshoot in this lab but still informative.
Check out the course on jeremysitlab.teachable.com if you want to see the upcoming topics, the next 4 videos are uploaded there (you don't have to buy, you can just see the list of videos).
I really appreciate your great efforts, and i am following your videos as I am intend to pass the exam soon hopefully, I would like to ask if these videos covers all the books materials and if not, what exactly still not covered by your videos so I can follow it from the book itself, Thanks
Sorry, no plans to make any videos on those topics at the moment (I'm not knowledgeable about them myself), and I'm not aware of any learning materials.
The video is great as usual! However, I am experiencing issues with the PT lab. Even when configuring HSRP exactly as you do in the vid, I continuously get "Duplicate" error messages. Didn't save the file or anything so I reopened it twice and still get the same message. Thank you again!
@@JeremysITLab thank you for such a quick response! I went through again this morning and I got it working. No clue what I did wrong but definitely helped reinforce the commands haha. Sorry about that.
Have you considered to make lab videos only on Boson NetSim instead on packet tracer ? I think those labs on Boson are more challenging than in packet tracer, so we can study more from those labs and you can spend the same time (20-25 minutes) to make the full lab from boson.
Hii Jeremy, You're really doing an amazing job when it comes to making CCNA Tutorials. Well my question is when will this series end like how many more videos are yet to be uploaded?
when this series ended, it will be the best 200-301 education videos on youtube. I appreciate your effort. This new way of sharing support files seems a little consufing. I think it would be better adding file links below as google drive links.
thanks very much , you are a very good teacher , I would like to buy your full course of ccna , do you have a full course that cover all ccna ? Thank you Sir
Hi Jeremy! Amazing videos, much better than any lecturer in collage. I am on video 10 at the moment, and wondering how many more videos there will be in the CCNA series and If the 55 videos are enough to pass CCNA? or do I need anything else? Sorry for being so demanding, but need to pass my CCNA before the 14th of November to land a job :) Hope you understand. Thanks again amazing material!
The course is still a work in progress, many topics are missing so you'll need some other resources! I recommend the official cert guides by Wendell Odom.
why am i not able to ping loopback address from pc1 *i recreated this lab 1)setup ip address to pc and to the router interfaces accordingly. 2) i did static route even after all this i am not able to ping loopback address
Hi, if we have many VLANS and interfaces VLANS, you used int vlan 1 to configure the standby, if we had many where will we configured the standby on DSW1 and 2?
Hi Jeremy, rather than R1 switch off, R1 G0/1 interface was shutdown. However, I noticed that traffic flows through R2 even while it is standby router. How is that possible?
Hi Jeremy , thank for your series of CCNA, I have a question about FHRP-HSRP, what about if the traffic coming from the outside of the network, the HSRP will work or not ? I try some test but ping and trace route always fail when I try to shutdown an interface on 1 router. If you have time to answer thank in advance.
My Packet Tracer is crazy, I`ve been trying to configure this for many times but it keeps saying route duplicate error. I confirmed versions are the same, v2. I`ve closed and opened again, started step by step just like in the video but it keeps giving error Duplicate, the R2 goes back to Version 1 automatically... any suggestions?
Hi, I'm unfortunately unable to save the running-config. tried write, write memory and save running-config to no avail.. I tried it in global config mode as usual, but even did it privileged exec mode, it says invalid input..
Hi Jeremy! Thanks for the videos. Can you let us know how deep are we into the course? 20% done? Half way maybe? I'd appreciate if you can let me know.
HI Jeremy! your videos are great! BUT today i dont know why, but my when i inter "standby version 2" in globlal-if, after all the other configurations, when i press #"show standby" its allways v1 default, and in the arp table opf the PCs is .0c7f not 0c.9f" mayb e is packet tracer?
Hi Jeremy Thanks a lot for your wonderful course explanation. I did same lab on paket tracer but i had a problem when i connected the two routers to different switches (gateway redundancy failure) but when i contacted the two routers to same switch it was working perfectly. I am wondering is that because of the type of spanning tree protocol or not?
Hi, Jeremy, so the configuration commands must be in the router that will be the active?, in the standby router you only need to config the HSRP "VERSION 1,2 ETC"?
I wanted to practice this lab in my packet tracer my pkt is of version 7.3.0.0837 But it is showing that it is not compatible so please recommend which version of pkt lab is this so that I can dwnld it Thanks for your great stuff
Great course! Are there labs available to download from day 29 onward? The emailed link from the mailing list directs to a Google drive folder with labs and flashcards, but it only goes up to day 28, I can't see any labs after that. Thank you for all the hard work on this!
Were you able to figure out how to resolve the issue? I logged in/out of my drive as well as using a different browser but still only going up to day 28.
@@stevendiep9394 Yes @Jeremy's IT LAB advice worked for me! When I was on a strong Wifi connection I was able to see all of the days in the folder, but when I was on mobile data on my phone I was unable. I would try using Chrome with a good internet connection so that all the files load
is the mic when your recording NetSim different than when youre using packet tracer? your keyboard/typing always gets "bassier" is that a word? lmao.. bro ive been spending nearly every night with your videos with my headphones on. you talk to me more than my wife these days hahaha
@@JeremysITLab hahaha no worries, we see each other plenty! I have 2 kids, 2 German Shepherds and a business while I’m trying to study at night after everyone is asleep! Lol
I am still being shown the duplicate address messages even if i change the versions to 2 or even 1. Is this an error or anything else? I have tried it for 3 times and it still shows the message again and again. @JeremysITLab
