FREE COMIC BOOK DAY HAUL - Archie, TMNT, Marvel, DC... UNDERDOG?? 

Oh, Andre, I love that you geek out over comic books that most people won't. A reminder that passion and enthusiasm doesn't need to be kept to certain areas. That said, I skipped Free Comic Book Day this year because I have too many comic books that I still haven't read yet.

Really cool that you are bringing to light comics that are not super hero related there is so much more than people seem to realize

I went to Madness Games and Comics in Plano, TX, Awesome place. Jim Cummings was supposed to be there, but he was sick. Sucked because I had my Darkwing shirt and everything. Also, the original Might Morphin Black Mastadon Power Ranger was there. Cannot remember his name for the life of me, I only walked by his table in time to see him whip out the Morphin badge thing for a fan and yell "Mastadon!" made my day. There were also some voice actors from Star Wars Rebels too. I REALLY wanted to meet Jim Cummings, though. Maybe some other time.

Have you read the Darkwing Duck comics? I just started reading them and I am loving it. Also, an Alf comic would be awesome!

How'd you get so many free comic books from one location? All the shops where I live have a limit so I always hit up like five different shops and bring an extra person with me so I get double the comics with each shop.

The Tick is on Amazon and you can watch the pilot for free. The regular series has yet to start. It takes a moment because the new Tick is very not Patrick Warburton. But once you get used to that, the pilot is awesome.

That little Archie comic reminds me of Tiny Titans. I got my son a TPB of Tiny Titans and he loves it. And I had a subscription to alf as a kid. It was published by marvel under their Star imprint.

I got the Turtles and Wonder Woman free comic, as well as some back issues of Faith and Black Panther. Living two blocks from a comic book store can be HARD.

I like how me and several other people focus on DC or Marvel comics and we see Archie as the outcast comic series

We have the same taste in comics I got Betty and Veronica, the tick, rick and morty, Wonder Woman and guardians of the galaxy too

My three free comics were a Doctor Who one shot, the Guardians of the Galaxy comic, and the prologue to the new Star Trek TNG Mirror Universe comic series. I also bought Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #18 and 19 as well as the Green Lantern/Space Ghost crossover (which was MUCH better than the Booster Gold/Flintstones crossover, which I bought a few weeks ago and was greatly disappointed by). I also got two bundles- one of them is World War Hulk and 4 of it's tie-in series and the other is a bundle of random Batman comics, including a Batman/Punisher crossover. Finally, I got a Pokémon Go Team Mystic sticker and, best of all, a free Weekend Pass ticket to the Salt City Comic-Con in Syracuse in June. All together, a pretty good haul, I think!

I had to pick up Secret Empire on Free Comic Book Day. Loving Cap as a Hydra agent.

I'm so glad that someone actually had a good Free Comic Book Day! I had an adventurous, yet failed experience because my friend and I looked up comic book stores in our area that were in on the fun, but there was only one listed on the freecomicbookday.com website. Unfortunately, the address listed there was old so we ended up lost searching for the store. Then, when we found out the actual address from the stores updated Facebook page, it was too late and the store had closed for the day. On my way home after dropping off my friend, I DID swing by a Books-a-Million because I was not going down without a fight lol. Ended up buying the first issues of Black Panther and The Crew (written by Ta-Nahisi, Yonda Harvey, and illustrated by Butch Guice, SO BLACK, but I just found out not even 15 min before watching this that it's being cancelled after 6 issues unfortunately because of sales), Amazing Spider-Man, Princess Leia, and DC Rebirth Justice League vs Suicide Squad. Plus, because BAM wasn't really fully into Free Comic Book Day, but had to have something out, I grabbed three copies of DC Essential Graphic Novels 2016 and one IDW Insider to give to my friends that are starting to get interested in comics (and to see if I've missed any awesome titles of course). Hopefully I'll be more like you and will be prepared to bring home a treasure trove for next year's Free Comic Book Day.

Unfortunately, I forgot about free comic day. But recently I bought DC Rebirth volumes such as Batman: I Am Gotham Vol. 1 and The Flash Vol. 1. The DC Rebirth is really awesome.

Andre is back!!, the Wonder Woman rebirth comic looks good, but Underdog looks hilarious!; this is to the comments section and Andre, what are your thoughts on SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron?, I've been watching the first four episodes of the first season, and they've been really good!, I saw the creators are funding a Kickstarter campaign for a revival series, sounds awesome!, so these are all just comments considering it's cartoons and 90s nostalgia (although I was born in the year 2000 so it wouldn't count, haha), anyways, glad seeing you back Andre!, are you going to do a special video on your trip to London?

Andre, you've probably already figured this out, but the various New Riverdale comics are independent of each other. While they each have their own ongoing storyline, Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, Josie and the Pussycats, and Reggie and Me are each doing their own thing and blatantly contradict each other, so New Riverdale is basically five new universes going on at the same time, not one cohesive universe.

so cool... i actually bought the Funko Universe TMNT comic off ebay... there was a total of 3 alternate covers (that i know of anyway) that i got... they are super cool looking

I got 1 copy each of all 50 FCBD titles. Also picked up the "Funko Toy Variant" edition of the TMNT Funko Universe book. The cover is designed to look exactly like a Funko Pop of Michelangelo, box and all. There's also a Ghostbusters Funko Universe comic that came out this week with a Stay Puft Pop variant. Fun stuff.

Well, nobody told me about free comic book day...I need to start reading the IDW Turtles again.

great selection andre, I really think you should try the power rangers comics by boom studios, they are great. also dc rebirth is amazing personally loving superman, detective comics, action comics, batman, green lanterns, ww, the flash, among others.

They announce that Descendants is now a manga series yes a manga series! They release the chapter one sneak peak for free since the book comes out next month, but I wonder if it's going to be really different from the movie? Like a bit more graphic?

i got riverdale, betty and Veronica ever since Riverdale came on I have fallen in love with that are Archie universe. I also got Wonder Woman rebirth, I got a Captain America comic with Spider-Man and included, I got Rick and Morty, Zelda I got and doctor who comic, and to support my local comic book store i bought an old orginal combic book style of archie and then I got graphic novel of Batman Volume 7 and then I've got another graphic novel Batgirl Vol 2. i love free comic book day!!

You definitely heard right about DC Rebirth, Andre: DC Comics is doing fantastic right now. I'm currently reading Batman (great), Superman (great), Green Arrow (great), Wonder Woman (great), Action Comics (great), Detective Comics (damn good), The Flash (fantastic), Justice League (a bit iffy, but in my opinion, mostly good), Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps (fantastic), Batgirl and the Birds of Prey (mostly pretty great), Batgirl (mostly damn good), All-Star Batman (some parts a bit ehh but still good, some parts damn fantastic), Blue Beetle (great), Cyborg (unfortunately not super great, it's a bit all over the place in terms of quality), Trinity (fantastic), Batman Beyond (great), Justice League of America (pretty great), Super Sons (fantastic), and Batwoman (great).

Man my store didn't have a Rick and Morty comic, I'm jealous. Small side note All I could think of while hearing that background music was another RU-vidr I watch that heavily uses that music, Jobbythehong. He's an entertaining figure reviewing RU-vidr whose a little raunchy and kinda self loathing but he plays it up in a funny way. Anyway he uses that music a lot and I just thought it was funny, I know it's like a royalty free song or something along those lines.

This was one of the best FCBD by far.

The best comic i got on free comic book day was def the ninja turtles one. I actually got the rare variant that kevin Eastman did because he was doing a signing at the shop I attended. He did it specifically for that store.

I didn't get any as there aren't many comic stores where I live. The TMNT one looked cool. If they had a Sonic one, i probably would have picked it up.

I like the Tick comic, But they didn't have it at the comic book store I go to.

I got Wonder Woman (duh), Miraculous Ladybug,DC Superhero Girls, Dragon Ball Super, TMNT, Rick & Morty, Betty and Veronica, and I got Underdog comic too but I gave it to my little study buddy who just graduated from Kindergarten. I brought a couple of Steven Universe and MLP issues for my little readers. (They didn't have Bitch Planet or Saga so I didn't get anything for myself.) 😁 You need to start reading the Avatar The Last Airbender comics since you still haven't watched the show!
