Mee6 sucks since you need to pay to get level up rewards. Fortunately, if you use Arcane bot you can have level up rewards for free. While Arcane bot still does have restrictions with their premium features, you don't need them to have level or rank role rewards. This video will show you how to set up your discord server and how to set up arcane for aesthetic role rewards.
Using this system, you could easily scale this into a permission focused role reward where achieving a certain level will unlock certain permissions. I currently use Arcane on my discord server to restrict image and embed permissions until members are active enough to understand the rules. This also blocks out potential image spam of bad content.
Moreover the Arcane RU-vid thing might work and I was just and idiot, I'll find out soon.

Even though they have updated this since this video I was still able to follow this tutorial very easily. I like how your super honest and give you opinions. "The dev really just doesn't care about you, and then they ask you for premium and then the premium support still sucks" Yes, yes and depends on if its a business day or not and whether you are premium sub or just paying discord with boosts lol. Rewriting a large bot is not easy, let alone maintaining it. We have decided for the time being its in our best interest to prioritize rewriting the bot rather than responding to people who cannot read #outages or the dashboard. 90% of users do not read even if its in bold red text with 1000 point font, and this is a fact. RU-vid's API that powers our notification system is really janky and has been a pain in my butt for months and wont raise our limits. It's going to be janky until RU-vid cares to raise our limits unfortunately.

I completely agree with your viewpoint regarding improving the bot rather than helping commonly asked questions but the dashboard status page is abysmal. RU-vid notifications have been down for a week and there is nothing on the status page indicating it. I understand that the RU-vid Data API is an absolute pain in the ass to deal with but not having an updated status page that provides tangible information makes it hard for me to ignore the lacklustre support on your server. As a consumer, I still stand by my opinion that premium is not worth it. However, the free version of Arcane is so good that rather than spending a monthly subscription I would be more inclined to send a small one time donation. This is because the free bot has been incredibly useful and is the easiest free bot to use for level up roles. I hope that once the bot is rewritten, there will be more focus towards supporting users.

@@NoTextToSpeech There will 100% be more support. Our staff just are overwhelmed and its not worth the headache right now. The status page is not 100% indicative of the youtube status due to it only checking if our service is actively checking channels which it always is. It just has to do all 40 to 50,000 channels very very slowly so it misses a lot of them.

Arcane's Prefix option has been changed. Now You can't actually change the prefix of your own .Currently The default prefix is " / " :)

How do I disable or restrict commands? / Where did command restrictions go? Command restrictions hasn't been available on our Dashboard for a few years now. Command permissions are now found in: Discord server settings -> integrations -> Arcane

Is there a way to set up a leveling scheme where there are multiple parallel roles you can level through? For example, roles you earn for participating in one channel, and another set of roles for participating in another channel. So you basically have two leveling trees based on how you interact with the server.

Something similar which would also be really cool if it existed are faction levels. When joining a server, you can choose between several factions. Example of Factions 🟣 - Lavender Faction 🔴 - Rose Faction And depending on the faction you choose, you get different level up roles. If you were in the Lavender Faction then you’ll get “Nebula (Lvl 5)” as a role but if you were in the Rose Faction then you’d get “Flame (Lvl 5)” upon reaching level 5 Of course, role names will be customizable.

anyone know why once someone’s reached level 15 in my server the bot stopped giving roles 😐. arcane has manage roles permissions and the roles are set up in the correct order as well. was this maybe just a fluke and possibly happened because the bot was down at that time? because it has been giving roles just fine up until now.

Heads up - you can only now have one roll/booster. Adding more than that makes you pay for premium making the free version useless. Glad I wasted the last 30 minutes just to find that out :| (not your fault)
