I am making a wind turbine that will generate power by utilising the potential of two rewired LG smartdrive stators, in Factory mode the generator produces high voltages but low amps, by rewiring the stator we can get it to produce less volts and more amps.
In this video I re-wire a 36 pole LG SMARTDRIVE washing machine motor so that it will work as a power generator in a home build wind turbine.
The wiring configuration is called 4x3C , this basically means we are splitting the stator into 4 separate ones that reduce the voltage and increase the amperage , as there is no exact manual for this stuff I have gone with a 12/24 volt rewind as shown on the www.backshed.com website.
This is the first part where we do all the main work I explain everything in detail the second part will be the joining together of the phases.
PART 2 IS FINISHED AND WILL BE UPLOADEDTONIGHT KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR IT.
