In English when we give advice, we sometimes use a saying, proverb, or and idiom. In this free English class you'll learn about some of the things we say when we give advice, and I'll be sure to go over pronunciation, and to give a great explanation about what each phrase means.
If you've ever spoken English with a friend, you'll know that in English we tend use a lot of interesting phrases. These proverbs, sayings and idioms aren't always easy to understand if you translate each word. Sometimes they are very difficult to figure out because they have a hidden meaning. I hope this English lesson helps you!
In this free English class I'll help you learn the meaning of phrases like: a penny saved is a penny earned, many hands make light work, look before you leap, don't count your chickens before they hatch, learn to walk before you run, don't add insult to injury, Rome wasn't built in a day, honesty is the best policy and many more!
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about the sayings, proverbs, idioms and phrases we use to give advice! Have a great day!
⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!
