In this English lesson you'll learn the words and phrases we use to describe the sounds our bodies make. Our bodies make sounds after we've eaten a meal, when we are hungry, and when we're sick. There are also actions we do to make sounds with our hands and our breathing to express ourselves. In this free English class you'll learn over 25 of these words and phrases.
In this English lesson you'll learn words and phrases like: sigh, wheeze, fart, burp, belch, to clear your throat, to snap your fingers, to tap your fingers, growling stomach, gasp, crack your knuckles, whistle, hum, snore, pop, crack, groan, gulp, and many more!
Our bodies are amazing things, and it is nice to learn the English vocabulary that you need so you can talk about the sounds our bodies make.
Have a great day! Thanks for watching this English lesson!

Hi! ✋😎 The word gargoyle is derived from the French word gargouille, meaning throat. When water passes through the throat of the gargoyle, it makes a sound similar to gargling. If I am not mistaken, the word gargle is also a word of imitative origin that has already passed into English from the French word gargouiller. Gargle, one of the sounds that humans make, reminded me of this information. Don't you think the gargoyle is a very interesting and eerie architectural structure? 👹🧟👀 Many thanks for this creative lesson. Have a great weekend! Bye 👋😊🌹💐💙
@fourcorners-music
@fourcorners-music 9 месяцев назад
i think the word in french “gargouiller” and the english word “gargoyle” comes from the sound of act itself, because the same in arabic it is said like “ gargara”,, 😊,,

Is slurping acceptable in North America? My bf does it quite often and it gets on my nerves 😬 😅 I know it is polite to slurp in China to show appreciation of the food you’re eating, but how is it in other countries?

Why bodies? Not body?
@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian
@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian 9 месяцев назад
You can describe it two ways: Sounds our bodies make. Or Body Sounds The first we use the plural because we're talking about many bodies. The same would be true for: Sounds that planes make. Sounds that animals make. We're talking about more than one. In the second example it becomes a modifying of the noun that follows, so it remains in the singular. The same would be true for: Plans sounds. Animal sounds. I hope that helps! 🏃👏🙌
