What was the nozzle temperature when you started putting the strip in and messing about with the clamp? Wouldn't the plastic melt away while you're doing that?
@@keysimfr I have printed entire drawer of boxes out of pet bottles and i continuously print with it. You can see couple of prints in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-suu3gDjjdX8.html
That is not so easy. You need a mechanism that prepares the bottles and connects the bottle to the last part of the previous bottle. You also need to discard the top part of the bottle.
Water bottles, soda bottles, and honestly generally most bottles that hold drinks are made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), so those bottles are most likely just straight PET. PETG has Glycol added to soften it and reduce its glass-transition/melting point.
PET, or recycled PET, as for choice of bottles i talk more about them here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Hv6GIz_-6I.html around 5th minute
