Hi friend. What is your opinion of self made filament from plastic bottles compared with factory filament companies are selling. Do you think its legit printing filament or it has its shortcomings. Can you explain me a bit, thanks.
It has shortcomings, first of all i wouldn't use it on anything that is over 18g simply because there will be visible "join" moment. Unless it's something functional that doesn't need to look good. It is also less precise. Think of it as filament for testing and rough stuff.
