It’s not just available to seniors, it’s free government commodities that can be delivered from the Human Resources, it’s everywhere if it isn’t in your community in all 50 states and, in all locations! The only thing is if you are 62 and older you qualify for free Farmer’s Market Vouchers! 3:25

In Georgia, Dekalb County has a lot of churches that have free food giveaways that give out boxes and bags of food to individuals and families. Sometimes the county list several churches that they pair up with prior to a holiday or when it's time for school to start. Fulton County, Atlanta churches and charities as give away food to their residents.

Happy 4th of July Matt We don't have that here where I live. Infact it's over 30 some miles to travel to a senior citizen center for me. Gas is so outrageous that I rather cook and eat at home. This same agency The Human Resources Services, they also do community gardens that they started putting in communities several yrs ago, for those who are able to manage working in a garden. You can not necessarily put all that in your apartment, their are rules you have to abide by and, depending where you live in a apartment building, you are only able to plant a small garden near your window or a herb garden around the building but, you can’t go filling up every little bare space there is! 12:23

No, it doesn’t because, that’s something you assume but, no nothing or have no knowledge about! Every area in the state has a DFC/ The Department Of Family And Child Services in every county, A Board Of Health, Counsel ON Aging if one isn’t in your county it will be in one of your neighboring counties/ in every county you have those on a low and fixed income, you have children with learning, physical and, mental disabilities as well as elderly citizens, you also have adults with learning, physical and mental disabilities in need of services as well as in need of added benefits and, assistance! Every county has a Human Resources Services there again it may not be in your county in particular but, one will be in your neighboring county as they serve many counties/ Also referred to as Community Services this is where you apply for housing assistance and, they can tell you your options and how the different housing programs work. They can also give you a resource list and, on that resource list there’s a list of Section 8 Apartment Complexes, everyone needs housing they can afford! They do Child Care Vouchers, parents need help with child care if they have to work no matter where they live! They do the Head Start Program, for those 3 to 5 year olds to help get an early start to school! I know cause, I was a parent volunteer a few counties over yrs ago! They do the Angel Tree for families who need assistance for Christmas! The I- HEAP Heating Assistance Program, They help with air conditioners and fans in the summer and, weatherizing your home in the winter. Farmer’s Market Vouchers for those 62 or older , they also help organize food drives through out the year. They help anyone who needs any additional government assistance, like during the Pandemic, with the Pandemic Relief/ Not Pandemic Grants! Also Free Government Commodities which he’s referring to but, you don’t necessarily have to be a senior citizen, you can get these delivered free also at no cost, once a month, but, you need to either call them or stop in their office and speak to someone in charge of that program. So, don’t tell me these programs are just in the big city, I know my resources and, everyone actually comes and ask me, and, I lead them in the right direction in my area and, I do live a small county and, near small surrounding counties. I can also tell you there isn’t necessarily free transportation for bus serves, but, if you are 62 or older you will get free rides during certain times of the year when, the Counsel On Aging gets grants from the Federal Government for that Particular Purpose! Yes, bus Services are in small counties to, through the Counsel On Aging! If you need rides to and from your medical appointments you set that up through your insurance, whether it be Medicaid or Medicare, you just call them 2 wks to a week ahead of time at the least and, yes your insurance will pay to and from to your medical appointments! So, learn to do your research for assume and complain, that their is no assistance in your area! 12:23

Where I'm from in Kenton Tennessee the commodities they called is nothing but canned vegetables I believe you're supposed to get bread eggs cheese pasta beans there's no juices there's no meat no chicken no beef and no pork I have a cabinet full of nothing but can vegetables that is what they call commodities here put in heart and truly I think the people that are passing are taking everything else and just leaving the canned vegetables and you know that's not right

It depends on where you live, can certainly depend on what you get but, you have to careful and, check expiration dates! The government commodities are available to practically anyone at any age and, it’s through the Human Resources Services/ Community Services, you though have to be 62 or older however, to apply or ask for free Farmer’s Market Vouchers! Every State has them if one isn’t in your county in particular they will be in one of your neighboring counties that they also serve! No, you’re not supposed to get bread, eggs and, cheese in particular! Again it varies based on what they are given from the government! Again, you are assuming something that you have no knowledge of! Every box in every location depends on what the government sends to that particular part of the state! All that it literally is, is for the most part is basic pantry staples but, that doesn’t particularly mean a whole laundry list of pantry staples! If you get meat it will be either in a pouch or a can! Oh, well, whether you like it or not people can chose to eat what they wish, certain people have health issues and they may not be able to eat certain foods but, you don’t get to play a person’s food police! 12:23 Just be silent and grateful for what you get instead of trying to stick your nose where it doesn’t belong! 12:23

Government commodities. The Salvation Army food bank in our town takes care of this program here. Also, look into local churches. Either they will have a program or know which church has one you can sign up for. One of our churches here not only gives out people foods, but also at times, has some pet foods available.

It’s through Human Resources Services / Community Services it isn’t a website, you’re jumping to conclusions by assuming things you have no knowledge of! Again look at my comment, and all what they can help give you one assistance with! The site is just pretty much telling you about the agency, you still need to call or stop in to let them know you would like to have free government commodities delivered to you, you don’t necessarily have to be a senior citizen, as long as you are on a low or fixed income you can receive these. Yes, they are, I am from a small county and, I live near small surrounding counties! Your to are assuming something you have no knowledge of! Every state and even though every county will not have a Human Resources Services, they will be in a Neighboring County, as they serve several counties in the surrounding area! You can get them delivered, they also have several assistance programs and, services to help those citizens in those county! If you receive SNAP benefits once a month through the DFC or Medicaid, you can also go to that office and they can lead you in the right direction because, really it’s just a extension of their services! You seem to believe this because, again you assume because, you have no knowledge of them and, have never been to that agency for any reason! 12:23
