I love how most of them are flex/grid related. Understandable bc flex was the absolute worst monster to overcome when learning css. And even after learning everything about flex there is also the way it behaves in responsive designs which broke me a little
@@happyness24 I'm back at it; it can be difficult at times because I'm coming from a Word Processing background but I'm beginning to like it. I've been following Kevin Powell; between Coder Coder and Kevin, I'm slowly beginning to like it. I'm about to begin a class in Apple's Swift; if I continue studies with just HTML, CSS and Swift, I hope to get a good working foundation with them.
It’s a shame GridAttack from Codingfantasy doesn’t provide any answer to the questions and there is no videos or answer anywhere to be found on the internet. Worse I emailed them and ask for an answer since I was stuck but never heard from them, it’s extremely frustrating I won’t recommend anyone to learn by doing Grid Attack unless you are okay with not knowing the answer and have to abandon since you cannot skip the questions.
Ma'am, when I watch a video on css I felt as if I understood everything but when it comes to design a thing, my brain stop all of a sudden. How to fix that?
Start by building something simple. A single page vertical website, try to make things centered (maybe even a bit responsive with Flex for example), try to resize images. From there you can build on and make more complicated. It's only practical for our brain to learn when we're actually doing it. You dont learn guitar by just watching people play guitar on youtube, your brain wont learn that skill just by watching it. Coding is similar (it's more useful to watch than guitar tho!). And also, if you're really stuck and want to do more complicated designs, look at tutorials where people build websites and try to make your own inspired structure inspired from it. Worst case if you really get stuck you can "copy more" , but you should still try to mess around with it yourself. And do not stress that it takes time, it's very normal in the beginning, at some point it should unlock itself and you will be much more comfortable and creative, good luck!
