This 2003 honda rancher 350 has been sitting for years rotting away, the engine was full of water.. let’s fix it. Help support the channel: www.buymeacoffee.com/albericidav
Thanks for watching guys!! Sorry about the loud rain and hail hitting the metal roof in the shed 😩. For the ones that don’t know, my channel was severely hacked on april18th and I just got it back, I lost a lot of subs and the algorithm really kicked me out so it’s going to be tough road getting back to we’re the channel was, so if any of y’all want to help support the channel just watch the whole vid, like and subscribe (gosh I hate asking people to do that). If you want to help in a more direct way you can always support the channel by buying a coffee. www.buymeacoffee.com/albericidav Thanks y’all! I’m glad to be back!
I try not to ask anyone to subscribe or like..ect I feel like that is completely up to the viewer and if my video is bad I wouldn’t want anyone to lie about liking it🙂
Nice isnt it. I like those who do that, or even wait till the End of the video to say something like "if you enjoyed the video...." Good videos dont require being asked. it speaks for itself. Between these guys ive now gained More then enough to be dangerous and competent now.. time to tackle My projects. Cheers.
The Sleeping dude is the worst for begging that I've seen. He's pretty knowledgeable about cars, but during his videos they have a infomercial about buying merchandise. Hats, shirts, key chains, even coloring, drawings and paintings that his children does. Dogs, cats, chickens, Goats and pigs walking around pooping in the garage area where they're working. Nastiness,. He will also give his p.o. box info for gifts.
Really sorry to hear about the hack. I do want you to know that your videos are great!! The small area, the tools you use, the way you work are what most of us actually have available. You inspire those of us who have to crawl under to pull an oil pan because we don't have a lift inside a 40x80 shop on our 75-acre ranch. Keep the videos coming.
You did an absolutely amazing job on that Rancher you have great patience. Good old Honda quality and durability i have an 2005 Rancher iv owned since December 2004 great ATV👍
Nice video👍 I'm amaized that that engine is still in such good shape after all that water sitting in there for such long time. The whole machine looks to be in good shape after so many hours. The previous owner took good care of it during driving it. Really nice that you got it for free!
You have inspired me to work on my four wheelers. I have 3. 2 of which I haven’t even had my hands on in 8 years and one I haven’t touched in 15 years.
Getting hacked sucks, almost as bad as getting your atv stolen. There’s some real pricks in the world. You did well getting the Honda for free and fixing it up and you have a great area to ride around with some good company. I was still subbed so that was a bonus. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
It sure does! I would actually rather have my atv stolen then get hacked lol, It really sucks that we have so many people that would rather steal than make a honest living. I’ve been riding at this area since I was young and have a ton of great memories there😊
@@anthonybullis6941 I’ve owned and still own a ton of different brands and maintained them all the same and there are brands like Polaris and artic cat that aren’t nearly as reliable as Honda, I do like how smooth a Polaris rides though
Our Suzuki quad runner 250 1993 just failed us for the first time this past month. About to get it fixed finally, but the quad runners are beasts and as far as im concerned, will rival any Honda on reliability. With that being said. I can only speak for the quad runners.
Really enjoyed this one! I was expecting the plastics to be as brittle as egg shell, the metal to be rusted to hell, and critters to have feasted on the electrical cables with it sitting outside for so long. Good to see it wasn't! As for the 'hackers' all I'll say is I'm glad you're back. Greets from the UK :)
Thank you!! The guy had a tarp over it when I first looked at it so I think that saved a lot of the plastics, also Honda uses a better plastic than the other brands
I don’t understand why people just park those instead of repairing them, I bought my Yamaha big bear from a guy that just dumped it in his backyard, some tires, a battery, carb clean and a new seat cover and it’s been an awesome bike.
Yeah when you put something away or you don't plan on using it for some time you should at least cover it up run the fuel out of it put steel wool in the carburetor so that mice can't get into it and in the exhaust roll the bike up on top dead center with both valves closed because you don't want anything getting in the cylinders and then that will help ensure that
@@TheHomePros6221 I've seen people with built banshees that just leave them sit in the rain leave it outside and just don't care they're so many thought after bikes that are just rotting in people's backyards
@@Adam-banshee-man if I were to store an engine the suggestions you list are helpful but I’d also use fogging spray like you would on a boat engine and drain the carb.
@@resurrectiongarage1506 Yes I usually do that also but I just let the carb run itself out of gas that way all the circuitry is drained for sure but if you take the carburetor off it most likely would clear all the passages just by gravity
I bought a 2000 Honda Rancher 4x4 foot shift for $50 last year it was stuck in gear i fixed it and its a great backup ATV, it has been run pretty hard as it was a ranch quad that kids on the ranch used.
I am glad you were able to get your channel back. I didn't realize it was stolen but wondered when your next video were. You're so lucky with that Honda ATV. I hope that you added air filter oil on the new filter. Hopefully you will make a part 2 video on it.
So sorry to hear what happened to the channel. Your videos are always epic, and I know how much time it takes to put them together. I greatly appreciate your hard work and filmmaking. Thank you. I’ve got a recon 350 here I think I’m going to be doing a full top end job and I learned some tricks.
I just fixed up this exact model quad for a friend of mine, luckily it only needed a carb and front tires but these old ranchers are beasts. Love the videos man 👍🏻
Just wanted to let you know how much I like watching your channel. Been watching for about a year or so now. Also wanted to let you know the commercials are too often and too long. It takes away the pleasure watching. I know thats how you make your income but can you cut it back a bit. Thanks Jim
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I don’t know if I can change the amount of commercials I always thought it was either on or off but I’ll see if I can cut em back a lil, if not I think if you buy RU-vid premium it takes all ads away
Thank you for sharing, I am very glad you drop a project, always a pleasurewatch your project, you are a great teacher and your explanation are awesome, i learn a lot 👍👍👍👍
I have a 2001 350 rancher es with 22281 miles on it, and it still runs and rides like it should.like yours My dashboard is barely visible but can still red the mileage .
Well done. I'm looking forward to the next treasure you find. Btw; regarding the rain hitting the roof-I'll take hearing that "rain/metal background noise" over having to listen to "metal music noise" or the rap "almost music" and cussing that we hear on other channels. Thanks for the great content. God bless.
Great job! It was great seeing it start right up! Keep up the good work. Your channel will come back even better. The work part is when we grow, not the result. It sucks. But it is the truth. I wish you and the channel well!
Every time I worked on Bikes, I keep an impact driver with extension(s) and bits, right next to the work. That way I had less stripped screw/fastener heads. Great job. Best wishes.
That was a cheep fix derrill. Good job buddy. It's my first time seeing your channel. Looking forward to seeing some more. So good luck with the rest of them.
Just saw this episode. Really actually enjoyed it. Definitely going to take a look at your channel. To be honest I am blown away that the electric shift still works. Usually these Hondas are known for problems with the electric shift especially with it having that many miles on it. I will say, I found myself saying out loud while watching this you've already got the piston out and put a high compression piston in it! Do some upgrades! But I'm sure you're trying to have at least amount of money in this as possible. Nice machine! Looking forward to checking out your channel.
Thanks man I really appreciate it!! Honestly I don’t like the hc pistons they run hotter and I like keeping stuff stock… for the most part, it just depends, on what the upgrade is. Thanks for watching my friend!
Just came across your channel.....subbed....great job and good results are even better.I have the first gen Yamamha Grizzly 600.Mine is a 1999 but still like new.I can't see someone just leaving it to the elements outside. That rig had to be about 4 + gran.My Grizzly is so old school but runs and drives great. My only toy i have left. But i would never lend it out to anyone.Have fun with it.!!!
I was looking for your video on the Gold Wing and for the love of god I couldnt find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily yt recced me this vid & I could find it again. Greats stuff m8!
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼………………………………………………………………………………….” Can WE save it “ ? Well, I didn’t do too much to help, but I knew you could save it! I’m just sitting here watching YOU fix stuff while I procrastinate on going outside to fix MY stuff! Lol Glad you got your channel back.
@@TheHomePros6221 1347 miles. I bought it 3 months ago in mint condition. Hondas rarely break so the repair videos are few and far between for these machines.
shame there are so many iceholes nowadays..your channel hacking..people just stealing stuff..hope you get back in the alogororithm quickly because you were on a decided uptick in subs/bviews..anyways..glad to see you are back..and say bark bark to your dogs for me..peace..
Awesome to watch you do what you do and work on stuff and I will watch all of your videos from now on, keep up the good work and content!! you get get that can and guys who think they can, and you can, passion and pride in your job or in what you do says a lot!! am a mechanic myself so I know what I am talking about. Keep it up and good luck.
Welcome back man! Sorry to hear about the hack, some people have nothing better to do with their lives. You can't keep the good ones down, I am sure everything will be built back up in no time! God bless.
hey man! glad to hear from ya! it really got me down as I’ve been dealing with other things in my life as well but I beleive I can catch back up it just takes time I guess
Hi Darrell, I can't tell you how many time I reported those fckers through RU-vid. Thank goodness your back and don't worry, your content is awesome and I know you will recover. Please don't open any files anyone sends to you ever again and spend some time on learning how to secure things so you don't end up in a bad situation. Nice to have you back.
Alright! Good one! That Rancher sure was nice! New tires, winch with synthetic rope and Super ATV disc brakes! I had the same fuel tap issue when I got mine and I changed the tap for a non brand. That only lasted a year and it never really could turn the fuel fully off. Replaced it with genuine Honda last year. Now I have a fuel leak from the fuel bowl so I got a new gasket for it and also an oil leak! It is from where the stator cables exit at the rear of the engine. I think I got a stick or something up there that destroyed the gasket. I think some Honda bond will take care of it! Regarding your Honda, I think the one way bearing is getting worn and it might have been a illusion but it seemed like the steering was a bit loose, steering ball ends maybe? Anyway, cool video as always! Keep it up!
Hey nils thanks for watching! Yea def a score! The one way bearing is def toast so I need to change it one day, the steering is super tight though it looks like the tie rods and steering bushing were all just replaced and also the brakes work great!
2003 Honda Rincon 650, Owned since new, 9471 (just checked) miles as of now. No rebuilds.. Can see it on my channel, still trail ride it n run it. Buddy has a 2004 Rincon 650 with 14k miles n still running perfect. Get the wiring bypass kit for that ES..
I’ve had 2 rincon 680s just sold one last year and really regret it they are great machines my wife loved driving it as well and she’s pissed I sold it
Just watched this and subscribed, excellent video all around, great video quality and just the right amount of narration. Really enjoyed watching as I bought a 1996 Honda TRX400 and brought back to life. Looking forward to checking out some of your other content
Kudos .... great content .... great Know how ... no long boring speechs .... you my friend are awesome .... love the ride along it was awesome ... keep it coming .. new suber here .. !!
At the beginning when you took the seat off and I didn't see the lid on the airbox and it was full of water, I was pissed! How can people be so negligent!? Especially if you're going to let it sit outside!
Glad you are back like all your videos will be watching I worked for honda motorcycle atvs for a long time in service the atvs are tough like a tank we say its a honda it will run keep up good work
I have a 2001 Honda foreman 450 with 100000 miles on it still runs good electric shift doesn’t work cause the shift motor sized up but foot shift works good too
My 2004 Honda Rancher would've had that many miles or more if only it hadn't been the Rancher 400 AT.... That dang Hondamatic transmission gave up at 8,000 miles. I should've kept my 2003 Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4 with the foot shift. But.... I took it in for some warranty work on the last day of it's 6 month warranty and the new for 2004 Rancher ATs were there and as I was looking one over, the salesman came over and talked me into trading bc I was intrigued by the beltless automatic concept. What I got was less power, no low range, and a transmission that was not long term durable even though I changed my oil every 1200 miles with Amsoil and is crazy expensive to replace.
The first thing you should do before taking the engine apart is put the engine in top dead center. Where the piston is level with the cylinder head cover and todo that there is a cap on the flywheel cover and as you rotate the engine over with the pull cord if it has one, there’s marking on the flywheel it should have a F and T mark make the T mark line up with the little notch on the engine
Great find. I wish I could come across one. I have been wanting an ATV for a while. I have a Triumph Tiger 1050 to trade. I just haven't gotten around to it. But if I could come across one that needs a little love that would be even better.
Entertaining watch! You do things a little different than I do, but you probably have more patience. I would have changed the oil first, then tried to fire it on carb cleaner before I tore it all down. I love to know it will run and doesn't knock before I go in if possible. I also have learned from experience to test fire them before putting all the plastics back on. I almost always miss something, but again that is me! :D
@@TheHomePros6221 I understand that for sure. I normally take a look around with a scope through the plug hole. Depstech makes some nice ones that take a lot of guessing out of it. Great video. Love a nice win!
I wondered why I was not notified about your new video and come to find out I was no longer subscribed to your channel. I guess the hackers booted me. No worries, I'm resubscribed.
