I thought u could do whatever you choose to with a beat BUT you can Not profit off the beat. If you want to make a song using a beat I do believe that's ok. It should just be for your personal listen. Don't claim it's yours, that's when it becomes a copyright issue.
@@notreal700s I'm not giving you legal advice and you would need to speak to a lawyer to get legal advice. But if you have non exclusive license you can use it within the terms stated in the agreement even if the best seller has sold it as "exclusive." You won't be able to upgrade your license and if you exceed the terms ( date of time, amount of streams, etc) then you would not be able to profit beyond that. If exclusive buyer issues takedown on a song you use it in show them the license you were granted. Exclusive beat buyers if they want to do content ID and have no other work online with the same beat should request custom work. There's more beyond this when it comes to licensing and publishing and the like so don't invest too much into this song with the beat but if you have one made or plan to release it anyway. Again that's what I would do , not any kind of legal advice. Consult an entertainment attorney for legal advice on this.
