Having interviewed Paul Rodgers 4 times, I can tell you he's a class act. A rock-n-roll legend who's so down to Earth you could just go have a beer with him and feel that you're with "one of the guys". God Bless Paul and Cynthia.

Free are, indeed, a "less is more" kind of band. Very honest and to the point, no "showing off", just a tight as hell unit of great musicians. Led Zeppelin were VERY different in their approach to blues-rock, they were much flashier. Both were great in their own way.
Great document! I would think, tho - "Mr.Big" would be a song about some way too cool bloke hanging around his woman - and the hole in the ground would be 6 feet deep!
That is kind of strange, since the US also had their fair share of very good to great bands come along in the 60s and 70s, maybe not as great as the British ones, but still.
The stones and Beatles rose at tghe ame time, though the beatles were more pop. I guess guys like Elvis Presley, Littl Richard and Chuck berry also have to be considered, and Gerry Lee Lewis, thoughn thier careers were more intermittent at first due to various interruptions (jail, marrying cousins etc)
Lol at the guy who with his nose up in the air, preceeds to tell you that the chorus of Alright Now is pretty much always massacred by players around the country ......
