Every instrumental on Swimming had a very laid back, yet serious tone, like a veteran that had seen the horrors of war, confident enough to hold his own in combat, but wasn't actively reaching for conflict. Each beat sounded like someone time traveled from the future, back to the 1990's and was trying to fit in with the musicians of the time. Funky and golden age, yet very futuristic as well. We need more of these.
