Nice one brother, I learnt a lot from this and I some to add to this concerning the reverb, you didn't eq your reverb at least cut out most of the low frequencies from the reverb so it doesn't mud up the mix in this case it didn't but you could have explained more about eqing the reverb too yuh nuh. 🙏 You too good brah more blessings 🙏

I hear alot of saturation and compression on this vocal, but cant see any of that on your chain... Did you do any pre processing. cause the compressor on this chain is barely kissing the vocal

This is awesome. i must confess i have been wondering who "#timmyjay on the track" is or what he might look like...lol.... but there is one important point i believe is been overlooked. How do you get the vocals to sound at a consistent volume throughout the song? was it recorded with compression? if yes, please teach us. if no then please enlighten us on how its done. it is my opinion that a good vocal mix starts at the recording phase. Would love a tutorial on recording setup for afrobeat... thanks a million!

I mix my beats to hit -6db on the full scale and in mastering I use Pro l2 but the loudness is still not competing with other songs out there and the whole song barely hits -10Lufs. Is there something I'm doing wrong boss and how can I get my works to -9lufs🙏
