This free motion motif is a mix of "pretty" and "interesting". Pretty interesting, right? It looks great on a variety of quilt tops from traditional to modern. I typically use this as an allover design, but have also been known to use it in a wide-ish border. See my website for more examples of how this design looks on a variety of quilt tops!

LOVE, LOVE drawing and free motion quilting. I have created a lot of feathered spirals (free motion quilting is my jam, computerized quilting not so much, lol) and they’re so much fun and give me a little challenge to fill the space. Thank you for sharing!

I know this is only funny to me, lol but watching your video from 2016, I was just sitting and drawing what I wanted to do on my quilt and you were doing same pattern. I am adding the echoing to mine. Thanks saved your video.

Thanks Sharon! I'm a longarm quilter and very out of practice with domestic machine quilting, unfortunately. My hope is that quilters will be able to apply the thought process in approaching these quilting designs to their own practices whether it be on a longarm or domestic machine. Sorry if this video is not helpful to you! I am considering recording "actual" quilting on my longarm as a future project.

Thanks for your comment, Carole. The answer is that I don't have any plans right now to reshoot this video. But thanks for your feedback, I'll consider adding quilting footage to future tutorials.
