Did you know most lawnmower shops don't torque the flywheel bolt, they use an electric or air impact gun and give it 3-5 Abbadugaugs. I called my local shop to get the torque specs for a Briggs 17HP Engine and that's exactly what they told me.
I recently passed up a Cub Cadet that was free and sitting out by the road because I had a full truck bed and didn't have time to stop. 30 seconds later I knew I had passed up a great deal!
21hp platinum single. that thing becomes a torque monster with a 28-31ci head on it... the higher horsepower doesnt mean shit on a mower. i want torque.
MTD makes crap mowers. They put even crappier Briggs and Stratton engines in them . Then paint them all sorts of colors and put names like troybilt, craftsman, and sell them to Lowes, Walmart and other dept stores.
@@joshuaryanferguson3702 are you a bat 🦇 because you must be blind… there is a dollar bill 💵 wedged between the fan base and the control box, he’s using a socket driver to get it out or tighten it up and it’s literally right there in the middle ! ✌️
Alive......for now. As we all should know, these engines rely on air flow to stay cool. This one obviously got hot enough to catch fire, so tell me Bro.....how cooked do you think the cast lining is? How cooked do you think the oil became? The cam? The tappets? The plastic governor gear? Just saying. Cheers! Zip~
Too bad someone didn't do some preventative maintenance and clean out the blower shroud before it caught fire. Could have saved some money on parts. If also be leery selling it probably got hot enough to warp the cylinder and will pop the head gasket soon.
