@@TheDailyWoo I think someone’s spamming your comments. Someone’s trying to look like you giving something away to people as a gift. You can see that as a reply in my earlier comment, as well as some other individuals who replied to this video.
The 80s arcades were truly amazing! There's a good reason for the 80s nostalgia! Sometimes I despair the world will never see another time like that! 😉
This was one of the better convention videos I have seen in awhile. Tampa Jay getting beat by the King of Kong, E.T. Birthday Party, and the Carpetbagger! I wish there was a gaming convention like that near me. Thank you for bringing us along!
I have purchased plastic toys from the Seattle Science Center Mold-O-Matic machines as a child. Almost certainly that exact one. I remember where it was placed. That was a treat to see.
Gotta say I too love pinball! Never been great at it but I just love to see and play them. I loved spending hours in arcades in the 80s. I'm 50 so you know I was there as a kid! 😎❤️
Great video! Arcade/retro shows are one of the main things I've missed. Shoutout to the people who volunteer their games and time to make them work! On "Sega's Astro City" early in the video, it's an easy mistake but that's actually the form factor of the cabinet itself. Much like the traditional cabinets that are wood with the iconic shape these became iconic in Japan by the late 90s where arcade culture kept on. They can have almost any game in them. Universal Orlando announced the removal of almost everything in the ET area except ET. I think it'll be around for a while as a throwback. Hope Adam gets to go back one day, if he wants. Fun House is my favorite pinball game, tied with Adams Family and Pinbot.
For a variety of reasons (only known to me), I also love the movie "Waterworld". The young lady when asked about villian's new fake eyeball: "It looks like crap" Villian response: "Its cold as crap too"
You don’t bet against a champion, Jay. Tisk tisk. 🤣 ~~ I would just go there for all of the pinball machines. My family used to have a full size pinball machine when I was growing up. Played it a lot. Love pinball.
Next time you are in New England there is a statue of Ralph Baer inventor of the Brown Box in Manchester, NH. I’m a huge Pinball fan. Back in early 80’s my Grandfather had a Phoenix Pinball Machine in his basement. We use to have Pinball Wizard Arcade in Pelham,NH about 10 years ago, unfortunately it closed.
Pinball had been making a huge resurgence (became popular for home use) for a number of years and then went into hyperdrive drive during COVID (people wanting one at home to play while being stuck at home). Quite a few manufactures of them nowadays and the wait for a new one to show up at your doorstep can take over a year. Prices went from reasonable (up to $4K) a number of years ago to crazy expensive (up to $25K) today for essentially a big toy. Prices aside, fun hobby.
"Kevin Costner, Waterworld --- I don't know what all the fuss was about, I saw that movie 6 times, it RUUUULED!" 🤣 Fun vlog! I generally suck at arcade games, I have always preferred pinball as it gives me a little more bang for my arcade buck, heh. Also, isn't it funny how just wearing a simple red hoodie or a simple red puffer vest is enough to make one nostalgic for 2 of the most iconic films of the 80's? Love it, cheers to everyone👍
Another great video. That looked like it was a fun place to be. Love the retro games. It's amazing how many different pinball machines they have. See ya in the next video. Steve and Sandee
Adam, you haven't spoken of Universal Orlando in a long time. I hope you will be able to appeal with them some day like you did for WDW. You deserve to ride E.T. again!
Nice vlog Adam! If you like pinball alot, you should head over to Las Vegas and checkout the Pinball Hall of Fame. It's right next to the Welcome To Las Vegas sign. They have 25,000 square feet of space with a couple hundred pinball machines and other arcade games there.
Love the t shirt and the cult, quirky movie “Repo Man” from Michael Nesmith (The Monkees) and Alex Cox (Sid and Nancy) . Hopefully whenever you get back to LA your can explore the filming sights around the 6th Street bridge and the LA River. Good video !
Adam, You should look into coming to California Extreme next year in Santa Clara. One of the biggest arcade & pinball expos in the country. You would enjoy it!
I haven't laughed so much watching any channel in such a long time! Your ET experience was hilarious! Seeing Jacob, Uncle Ryan, Tampa Jay, Colonel Gentleman, & The Woo was a nice way 2 wake up. Thx
Oh this was fun to watch, I kind of thought Jacob would still be in Florida when you got back, he was really up close vlogging lol and I loved the ET photo session that is super cool lol and Jay was blessed the guy waved his bet
i did have the original 'PIZZA HUT' collectors glass for a long time, used it, cleaned it, but it broke, and for years until just recently bought another one at an antique store, mine was ELLIOT flying over the moon much like you did in your kodak moment, and my brothers was E.T. kissing Drew Barrymore as the sister, of course most of us know what happened to the games extra copies that never sold because most of us know the game really did suck, i never played it..and thankfully i didn't, the rest weee sent to a land fill and buried.. NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN..TRUE STORY.."HAPPY BIRTHDAY" E.T. the movie..and my collectors glass is 40 years old!!!
Hello, Adam. That was a fun video. When I saw the Carpetbagger, I immediately thought of my friend Camodave. Thank you for that. Have a wonderful week and Happy Thanksgiving.
This reminds me of the silverball museum in Asbury Park, NJ on the boardwalk where you can pay one fee and play unlimited pinball on classic and historical machines.
Re-watched this video after Billy's 'recent' scandal. I thought he was being jokingly cocky when I initially watched, but man... what a riot this time around!
I am a relatively new subscriber and am going through some of your old videos. I see that you love Pee Wee's Big Adventure. That's one of my favorite movies of all times. I have seen it at least a hundred times. I love laughing the way I do when I watch that movie. And every time I watch the movie I laugh like I have never seen it. I did not like Big Top Pee Wee. I tried watching it several times and was very disappointed every single time. I'm curious if you watched the Christmas movie. I know you don't have time to read all these comments but with the mention of Paul Rubens and his genuine sense of humor I had to say something. Thanks for the reminder!! I know you are but what am I.
