I have watched several videos trying to figure out how to do this. Nothing but frustration and failed jumbles of beads. I watched your video and it made sense right away. Thank you so much!!!
Wow I’m flawed by your talent ,creativity but what stands out the most to me is how good an educator you are. Life changer. I just sent you a FB request from 🇦🇺 and I follow you on Twitter. You are in my life daily watching your huge collection of fantastic tutorials. Thank you for making my beading so much more enjoyable.
Jill, I'm a beginner beader and I've looked at these triangles so many times and thought that there was no way I could ever make them. Your explanation made it so easy to understand! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. You're the best!
wow..! thank you so much..!! I have finally got it, I have watched pretty much all videos available to learn to do this triangle, and thanks to you ...!!! I DID IT..Thank you Jill
I love that you talk like I do, ”I’m going to pass through the stickie outtie”. I knew exactly what you were talking about! Thanks for all your great tutorials.
Wow. Being new to this form of art and just happening to stumble upon this video, I didn’t expect to stay for the whole tutorial. I could not tear myself away. Beautiful. What was most alluring was the subtle suggestions of nature, art and mindfulness and how that’s really what she’s after. Mission accomplished, I’m so impressed. Thank you! 🌸
Great timing! This video turned up in my email the day after I figured out what I kept doing wrong. Nice to have the RIGHT way reinforced. And, as usual, your visuals are clear, and your verbal instructions easy to hear (which is great since I'm going deaf). Thank you.
Awesome! I have watched other videos on how to do this technique, but I could never really "get" it or understand others' instruction on it--it was rather confusing how others explained it. But with YOURS, I "get" it! You explain it so well with your step-by-step approach; thank you! I'm gonna go get my beads, and watch this again and do it with you...yay!
Hello Jill. I LOVE the triangles! Already made a few. Tried tiny ones for earrings. Going to try dew drop spirals next. New to beading so still learning. Luv the 'cattywumpus and sticky outties'. You r very good at teaching. Ps got your book as a gift. Thanks for videos. Very appreciated.
love this Jill...i have never even thought of trying the triangles before because they just looked so scary...but as usual you make it look easy. I think i may just try this now! thank you so much for helping me kick the scaredypants notions...lol
I'm a knitter and a crocheter who has recently picked up beading. I have to say that triangle peyote is identical to crocheting a granny triangle. the was you increase the corners and work single in the spaces on the sides. Thank you for this video. 😊
I made a happy mistake with one of my triangles and ended up making a great little square! I started with 4 beads rather than 3 and liked it and kept on going. I made a pair of earrings out of them with black beads as the centers and mixed up colors on the main parts. They look like stained glass. Thanks for the inspiration you give with every video!
I showed my mistake to a fellow "beadie buddy" and she loved them so much I had to teach her how to do it. I pointed her in your direction and now she's a "Jillaholic" too!
Thank the stars for you introducing the wonderful world of peyote. Because of you, I am inspired and have also made my own peyote patterns in 11/0 delica (thanks for the tip about buying other than Japanese Delica - I would have given up in frustration if you hadn't shared). I am now making lovely pieces that my friends ask "where did you buy that", and I proudly tell them you showed me how. ;) Thanks for all the brilliant and informative vids.
I'd love to see these made into a globe (like two geodesic domes put together) to cover a Christmas ornament. Calculating the number and size of the triangles would be a little tricky.
Thank you Jill, I have tried for several years to do this and it never turned out for me. But, as always you pulled through. Thank you so much you made it easy! 1
TY TY TY TY TY TY TY Now I see where I was having issues the corners I was forcing it to look like \/ YOU made it so much easier going /\ Makes so much sense
Great project. Clearly shown and described. Is it based on th Contemporary Geometric Beadwork books by Kate McKinnon? Theqre is so much you can xo with these components and a brilliant way to use small quantities of beads in your stash. Thanks for taking the time to make the video and love the way you show what to do so clearly.
I just made one of these triangles and it was so quick and easy....I'm going to do them in Christmas colours and give them to my friends, though I may add a couple of extra rows to make them a bit bigger...Do you think that will work?
Hi Jill, I love your videos and the different designs you come up with. Are the instructions for the Flat Peyote Triangles available yet? I searched, but cannot find them as you mention different designs also. Also when searching, I found peyote triangles that appear to be 3D meaning that there appear to be 3 pieces together to make it not flat. Do you have a video on those. Thank you.
I made one of these and it is pretty but doesn't lay flat for me. I am going to try putting clear nail polish on it to see if I can flatten it out before I make the other one. Would it be my tension?
Charlotte Burnside Are you holding on with a death grip? When we learn new things we tend to really tense up our hands and hold tightly which can make the hand cramp. The other thing that makes my hand cramp is using a short needle (known as a Sharp.) Quilters usually love the sharps, but I can't use them for more than 15 min. due to the hand cramps.
I loved the video! I am a beginner and I have had my delicas for a while I guess it's time to stop being scared! Though what is that tool you were using at the beginning to point to your project? I have seen it before but no idea what it is. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thank you so much for answering my question and for inspiring me to try bead working once more! I bought a bunch of 11/0 delica's and got discouraged on the beading loom, I think I would prefer your hand stitched method better! Thank you again!
I like this and I am just starting all over again done the loom, just not like this, I am picking it up fast, my trouble is not all the beads like you have and on a tight on money now that I am on ssdi, so what is the best to get starting, I have some seed beads, and I use the thread to make my first things then go to the fireline but now wal-mart has the wildfire is that the same
