Just came back from a trip to CT for the Thanksgiving, Drove all over Danbury, Brookfield, New Milford and Norwalk looking for VWs or you driving a new one home. And turns out your in New Hampshire. Good luck with the 23 windows. Bet you will have it up and driving by spring.

Honestly, that looked like perfect weather for digging out a 23 window. Cool, barely frozen ground, and sunny. No snow, no skeeters, no wasps, and no heavy sweating. I once pulled a 68 bus out of a yard in Eastern, MT in early March. One tire was frozen into a mud puddle with the fill valve under the ice. My buddy was laughing and shaking his head at me as I chipped the ice away and hit it with a torch just enough to access the valve. It worked! Pumped up all four and they popped out of the ice like magic.

Oh yah! That will buff right out ;o)

Where are you? My friend went to Woodstock in 69 with his dads 69 bus. I was in college over the summer avoiding the draft for Vietnam. He told me they had a great time except he hit a 1960 Chevy which left a nice imprint in the nose.

No way anybody has been near it since, the vultures wouldn't of left the clock, steering wheel , ashtray or the bullet indicators behind. Atleast you got the body tags, might come handy one day. Still see quite a number of 23 windows at vw shows here in europe. The rare one is RHD Versions. Pure hens teeth.. Shame about the 2nd one in video, was it an early one ?
