congratulations on passing your exam!! thank you so much for such a great insight, doc. I really found this video helpful. I'm currently preparing For PLAB 1 and a lil bit of NCA exam as well. So how long does it takes for you to study for NCA exam?
Congratulations on succeeding with your exam! A really helpful video. I am currently preparing for PLAB 1 and want to know if there are any academies that you would suggest for preparation, or just studying with materials alone is enough?
It really depends on your background - how solid your medical knowledge is. I wouldn't be able to recommend a certain academy as I didn't try any of them. If you feel you need extra help, I heard academies may be helpful. If you feel like you can manage on your own, it is doable!
Hi had another question, I’m trying too figure out what too put for the this question , post graduate experience for the foundation application? Would it be the same type of info that was put on the eligibility application? Thanks for help
@@HopefulHope a huge gamble, but I suspect you’re more clever than the average Dr. Any non U.K. graduate that can get over 40 in sjt must be very clever
Congratulations for ur exam And wonderful tips What if we don’t pass Will we have to apply ukfpo again ? Or just the test ? And can we book it before starting ukfpo application ? As I graduated more than two years so I suppose I will have to take this nca .. Except for 10 mints How different is it from plab 2
Hello, had a question about the NCA, do you have too talk about the clinical findings too the patient after you completed a physical exam or history taking ? For example you find an effusion on the exam of the knee, do you discuss those results and next steps with the patient? thanks
Really helpful video, thanks! I'm applying for UKFP 2023 this year. Would you say these resources are still relevant for this year's (2022) ukfpo CSA exam??? I've always avoided usmle questions when preparing for UK stuff like plab. Are usmle questions really beneficial for UK-based exams like the csa??? sorry if my questions are dumb lol
Hi, I wouldn't be able to comment whether the resources are still relevant as I'm not sure if any changes have been made. I just found the USMLE Step 3 practice questions helpful for me to practice cases! If it makes you more confused, I would recommend to stick with the UK based resources :) Good luck!
Hi doc, I graduated before Aug 6 2023 and I am planning to apply for ukfpo 2025. Will I have to appear for NCA ? Can you suggest some academy which provide classes for the exam?
Hi, the NCA is for applicants who graduated from medical school more than two years before the start of the Foundation Programme. And I won't be able to suggest any academies as I personally haven't tried any. Good luck!
