nice tool but anyway AutoDesk finally put inside revit 2022, "ability" to name files (PDF/DWG) related to parameters in project (not just sheet number/name) with prefixes/sufixes etc. But this tool just have probably everything :P, nice as always plugins are ahead of autodesk xD
They did, but unfortunately there's no DWG/IFC/NWC export which this tool has. I think if they don't add those most people will just keep using add-ins unfortunately.
Yes in the 2022 version onwards. It can only do PDF's with naming rules unfortunately, still no DWG, IFC, NWC etc. which ProSheets does in all supported versions.
I wished if this add-in can actually bind the images with the cad file (usually placed in the title block as Logo or something like that) which actually come as external references moreover I always take sometimes to bind it manually in Cad
Fantastic Review Gavin, thanks! Quick question - The 'Profile' in your case BIM Guru Template; if created on one machine in the office does it populate to other users machines? Or will each user need to create or copy a profile to ensure alike print/ export setups?
Good question! Currently I'm only on one machine at home but I expect it's saving a settings file locally (maybe an .ini?). This can likely be stored and imported from a server location i expect.
I already downloaded all the diroots addins, very useful video. I have a question, can I change the names of all the files into the application? for example A-A100-FloorplanName-Revision1. Thank you.
Yes the naming rule on prosheets can be found on the first tab (pencil icon, top right of sheet list), and allows you to select parameters and separators to build a naming rule.
A few considerations; - speed - deployment - stability - multi version - UI I love using dynamon but if I see a free app I'll always consider it as well!
Yes I believe it can access all shared and project parameters applied to sheets and project information as well as revision fields (essentially like a titleblock).

Would be better to export without the need of open each Revit file
Typically sheet order will be dictated by the numbering sequence I think - if they're falling out of order I'd do them to a folder individually then use a binder like PDF995 to do it in the desired custom order. If they're not in numerical order when bound I'd contact DiRoots as it might be a bug.
@@AussieBIMGuru My project browser is in order for my sheets. I thought it wouldn't just be me but alphabetically and numeric can throw things off. I would just like an option to arrange them the way needed. Also, for a set of 300 sheets individual PDF'ing is a nightmare. I will try to reach out to them. if anyone else has a resolution please respond. Thx
I'd set to the browser organisation to 'All' for sheets and see if that indicates the sort order as Revit sees it. Sometimes people use custom fields to sort their browser into sets which might be why it looks in order in Revit. Beyond that I'd have to assume it's a bug with the way the addin is ordering the sheets themselves (maybe by element Id/creation order - would seem an odd choice though...). I agree that 300 individual sheets isn't a bind-able task, absolute last resort of course.
@@AussieBIMGuru Thank you for your quick and helpful answers. That's the thing Revit doesn't look at project browser, it allows you to select from a diff. window. I have also set a separate filter by a different parameter but still doesn't allow 1,2,3-10, 11,12,13-20 numbering it goes 1,10,11 - 2,20,21 - 3,30,31 and so forth. If I could only show images here to explain. Someone please help if they have answers. Thanks I apricate your time.
@@tjp5876 ah yes I understand now. It is probably something in the add-in sorting mechanism when it creates the binder set doing this as Windows/PDF plotters usually understand 1-9 come before 10+. Worth contacting them I'd say. in this case. Alternatively it might be a PDF995 related issue but I suspect not.
Batch printing and exporting in this manner is pretty much industry standard now. Instead of looking at free addins we should be asking why the hell isn't this function built into standard Revit yet.
@Aussie BIM Guru Just tried it out. Everything works just fine but PDF print. The fonts in the drawings are distorted, sometimes the frame is even invisible, elements are missing and many more. Have you faced this kind of problem?
@@AussieBIMGuru I just found out that the problems were caused by the Windows 10 update. They have anounced this on their official Facebook page a week ago. I'm glad that they also provided a solution to the problem. Anyways, thanks for showing this App. Keep it up!
