About 40+ years ago, my family used a similar solar cooker. The main body was made of cement and the mirrors were inlaid with found broken glass, and when broken glass was not available, tinfoil from cigarettes was used. Honestly, it didn't work very well, but it saved money over using coal to boil water. Interesting memories.

@@Hddhiddidjd সৌর শক্তি ব্যবহার করে রান্না করার যন্ত্র এটা। আমরাও ছোট সময় বইয়ে পড়ছিলাম সোলার ওভেন সম্পর্কে। সূর্যের আলো প্রতিফলিত করে একটি বিন্দুতে নিয়ে আসা হয়, এর ফলে ওই জায়গা বেশি গরম হয়, এটা দিয়ে রান্নাও করা যায় অনায়াসেই।

Though the idea has been around for years it is great to see the Afghans putting it to good use. I thought about implementing these boilers years ago while treking in Nepal. The amount of trees and labour they will save is good for all.

I want to visit Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Palestine before my death. I just want to walk through the road and breath their air. I used to pray for them a lot when I was a teenager, now I am a middle aged woman and they are independent and creating new things. I am so happy to see them grow!

Wow what a creative work. When one listen to the West, one would think the people of Afghanistan can not produce a broom talk less of a Solar product. Without the West destroying the economy or controlling their government, the global south would lift themselves out of poverty. This would be a great export to the people of Africa for a start.
