That turned out lovely, I'll have to watch it again and get the dimensions of the block pieces. My daughters love table toppers/runners. So I'm always looking for new ideas. Thanks for the great tutorial and pattern idea.!! ❤️

I know a few quilters do not press with an iron. I will always. It saves your fingers from arthritis. Let the iron do the work. Every retired quilters quits quilting (say that fast) because of this in their hands.

Yes there is no rules for quilting. What works for one may not work for another. Trying something new can be good or bad but worth trying at least once.

@@podunkpretties true. First thing my grandmother taught me sewing is to never cut corners. :) It stuck with me since first sewing when I was 7 years old. I'm 65 and hear her in my head. I press.

I really enjoy your videos - as a beginning quilter, it's heartening to know that you pros have to fudge things occasionally to make them fit :-) I love that fabric with the little spiders and bats, it's so cute! I had to run to our Walmart to see if they had it, but unfortunately they didn't, lol. I still want to try this runner, I'll just have to find some fabric that catches my eye. Hope your eyes are feeling better!

A friend said she bought it on the walmart website. They have some really cute Christmas fabric at our WalMart. It all goes fast! Thank you so much for your quilty love. Would love to see your runner if you decided to make it!

I have just found you and LOVE your tutorials! I have made envelope pillows before, but love the addition of the binding which creates a lovely decorative feature. I can not figure out however, when you add the binding in the process of making the envelope pillow. Is it just added to the outside after pillow is completed or somehow before the back is assembled? Thank you for your time and talents in sharing these videos and in advance for answering my inquiry as I would love to try this..

Yes just add your envelope backing sew or pin it in place. Add your binding as you would a quilt. I have video for machine quilt binding.

@@podunkpretties so complete the backing THEN add the binding right? Thanks so very much for your unbelievably swift response

@@Christine-ix7tp Yes quilt your pillow top, add the envelope back with right sides out. Pin or stitch the envelope back in place. Then bind as you would a quilt. I love this method because it adds a little pop of color and gives the look of a piping finish without the troubles of making piping. Happy Stitching!
