This week I got my hands on a Toro 14.38Z zero turn mower for free! Of course it doesn't run, so let's dig into the troubleshooting procedure and see what we can find out: why doesn't it have spark?

The dampners on the handles are bad.... that's why it's jurky,, if you didn't know.

I haven’t messed with dampeners much if any before. I’ll have to decide if it’s worth it to fix that or not. 🤔

I haven’t sold it… I think the engine has a knock and I haven’t decided what direction I want to go.

We use compressed air to do a lot of pre cleaning, don't know if that compressor you had still works, but that and a blow off tool with small tip will make your clean ups easier buddy.

free mower yet to have that happen ive had 1 was an MTD with steering wheel not a zero turn Note: still have my cub cadet zero turn havent got rid of it yet but im wanting to trade it plus boot for a truck

That would be the Z425 I did an engine swap on. Unfortunately, now it has an electrical issue of some sort that I haven’t looked into yet.

Nice job! Sweet machine. After it all gets cleaned up, fix the gasket, sharpen the blades, it should sell for $1250 with the bagger. You can also buy replacement stickers from Toro. An extra set of sharpened blades would seal the deal. Just in time to suck up falling leaves.
