Very happy to see BYD listened to their customers, and they recently launch new updates for BYD Seal infotainment system (OTA v1.2.0) and their mobile app. New features include vehicle position to navigate and find your car, and quick easy adjustments to car climate control.

Hello, the icon upper left is for traffic signal info. You now can connect or disconnect swiping down from the top of the screen and select icon TSR to connect or disconnect with this quick access ( shut up the warning ) is the best of this software I think. In Spain they have also enabled opening/closing with the mobile phone or Apple Watch Sorry for my bad english 🤣

Hello from Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) and thank you for your videos. We had the OTA here a month ago, and besides all the new features you comment I found a new one: Before the OTA, when I turned on the remote Air conditioning with the app, if the last time I drove I turned off the car with the music in loud volume, the car started the air conditioning and the music too at that volume! But now, if you turn on the remote air conditioning it doesn't happen anymore. I like this new feature.

Now you can choose if you want to silence the speed limit beep, but keep on the signal recognition so it doesn’t disappears fr the HUE or the front screen. You have signals and it keep flashing when you overpass the speed limit, but it don’t sound anymore. You can add a shortcut in the top menu when you slide down. And the beep from ADAS now is way more quiet

Its a icon that shows if the speed sign recognition will beep at you or not when going over the speed limit, that icon right there shows its on and it will beep at you when you go too fast, otherwise it has a X over the sound logo in the icon

yep, i second this. we can finally drive the car without all the bing bonging when just a little over limit. it simply shows you the speed limit in the hud. Absolutely love that BYD are listening and acting on feedback.

Nice BYD adding useful updates making the car better. Tesla we usually get a major update every 3 months to keeps things new and fresh. However often times too much change isnt good. Minor updates once every 2 weeks.

The icon in the top left corner, shows the speed limit warning sound has been selected off, permanently.

When starting the car there is no radio. Even when it was turned on the last time I used the car ( BYD Seal )

That's the over speed limit audible warning. If it's on, the icon will be there, if it's off, the icon is not there.

Hi. I just came across your videos today - very informative. One qn on the OTA updates, are the available for all cars at the same time? I purchased my Seal in June ‘24 but it is still saying it it is the latest version 1.0? Thanks

BYD have rolling updates for Seal purchased at different times, so I suspect your update will come soon.

Yes, but the direction for the temperature is wrong - sliding down the screen should make the temperature lower and sliding up should be higher. Instead you are moving the temperature indicator with respect to a static pointer. It should be the opposite - moving a pointer on a fixed indicator.

How did you connect your carlink kit after the update because carplay is wireless now I have it with a usb-A but it is not working for me. How did you connect it?

Does any one know how to change the "distance remaining" from km. My car is in miles (UK) but the app does not pick this up and can not be changed. I charge using off peak electricity and I think the app is sadly missing the charging functions. My Kia app had a "charge now" button. The BYD requires me to go to the car power it up and the power it down where the "charge now" button appears.. This is still the only BYD we have seen on the road but hopefully more people will chose this brand. Its very good and I have very few complaints so far.

@@SkyPerspective oh i thought the feature is automatically there if u have the app. Also, the carlinkit tbox does not have any multi touch support so u can't do zoom in zoom out as there are no - & + buttons also... Can u pls check this also
