Free VST Voice Synth - "Alter Ego" Review 

How do I get the Daisy voice? I cant find it on their site anywhere, all I can find is the Bones voice.

I finally downloaded this. I have the voice called "Marie Ork". I use LMMS, and Alter Ego works fine. Opening the toolkit on Vestige gives a huge variety of extra settings. At least I got her words to be more understandable. Seriously. Next I will try to tweak some more controls and see what happens. This plugin might be more useful than I thought. At least for certain projects. I'm glad I found your video. I picked up some valuable info. Thanks.

Where can I find and download a Daisy's voice ? I downloaded AlterEgo plugin ,but Daisy 's voice isn't there. I am using a MIDI controller Arturia MiniLab

Daisy Basic kinda sounds like GlADOS o_0. Quite a unique VST, will definitely add that spiciness to your composition.

Plogue's ChipCrusher is another VST of theirs that's a favorite of mine. TSI Speech+, TI SpeakNSpell/Math, even create a kinda sorta own chip crushing if you wish. I signed onto a TeamTalk voice server one time and didn't tell anyone they were about to be Texas Instrumentized? I just sat back listening while the hilarity behind their back went on. Someone finally said: "Wrong; Try again" and it sounded like the SpeakNMath (the angrier machine). They all died laughing! Cockos Reaper FTW!

Thanks for the tutorial, I've had the program for a while, I wanted to use it for quickly trying out melodies because I'm a songwriter, but I think it's very hard to use because of it's timing, it's got odd timing because of consonants, so it's kinda useless for me, unfortunately

Hey! I'm having a little issue with this software. Do you have to bind keys to make the software sing? I've been hitting keys for hours, to no avail. If it helps any I'm using Mixcraft 8.

unfortunately it is impossible to add the voice bank - when I drag it into the plugin nothing happens, so at least for me the program is useless

The only thing that's kinda annoying me is the way phonetic speed is so inconsistent, type ''do no mo bo ko so to fo lo'' or something like that, play 8th/4th notes and you'll see it's not only a rhythm that isn't a straight pulse, it's not quantized by any means, it's kinda weird how unpredictable the timings are, and probably takes a loooot of work to line it back up with midi note timing + those two speed automations. I'll take the time occasionally, but idk, millisecond sensitive grooves are important to me. Slowing it down, I hear ''mo'' and some others, pronounced ''uhmo'', which adds a second distinct rhythmic hit, definitely fiddly. Kind of a shame, I was mostly planning to use this to add texture layers to my synths, the ease of control over the variations in the sound through speech input was definitely one of the biggest things I was after, it's still a unique sound in the end, but I'm very discouraged to use many different texts when most of them need at least a small tweak. Anyone run into this who have some solutions besides wave/phoneme speed and early midi notes? Those speed mods seem to be affected by automation over the course of a single sound, so it doesn't just snapshot whatever value it detects at the beginning of each sound, that's the saving grace for me atm.

This thing doesnt even work, I hit enter/space forward arrow and about everything on my keyboard... with the bones bank installed and nothing happens, click bait! Also where is the big exe that you are using behind the Alter Ego Exe?That sure didnt come with my package. Tried to update the engine and nothing. You know the one showing all the different effects and shit behind the scenes? Also when I clicked on any of the Alter Ego buttons nothing would change either. The uninstall works great though!

If you want some GOOD synthesized vocals, get yourself UTAU. Has way more voicebanks, better quality and 90% of the banks are free.
