Free will? 

A few years back, I crafted this piece pondering the concept of free will.
Do we truly possess it, or are we merely subject to fate?
At its core lies a Campo del Cielo meteorite, a relic from the dawn of time, nestled behind six mechanical "arms" and hold by two magnets.
It symbolizes the moment our journey began.
Suspended by seven red silk cords, the gilded silver marionette embodies the constraints we face. When I created this piece, I envisioned the marionette veiling its eyes when the mechanical parts closed, arms outstretched when they opened-a metaphor for awakening to perceive reality without prejudice or desire.
I believe that by remaining present and questioning our automatic responses, we may inch closer to understanding free will.
