ASAP Mob (stylized as A$AP Mob) is an American hip hop group formed in 2006, in Harlem, New York, by members ASAP Yams (Steven Rodriguez), ASAP Bari, and ASAP Illz.[1] The Mob is a collective of rappers, record producers, music video directors and fashion designers who share similar interests in music, fashion, style and art.[2] The collective consists of New York-based rappers, most of whom carry the "ASAP" moniker, such as ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, ASAP Twelvyy, ASAP Nast, ASAP TyY and ASAP Ant. The collective's resident record producer ASAP Ty Beats, also carries the moniker and has produced several songs for his ASAP Mob cohorts, most notably Rocky's debut single "Peso".
On August 28, 2012 the group released their first full-length project together, a mixtape titled Lords Never Worry, which received mostly mixed to negative reviews by critics. In August 2013, it was announced ASAP Mob's upcoming debut album, would be released on October 15, 2013, however that would later be delayed. They subsequently released their debut single "Trillmatic", in December 2013. The song, performed by ASAP Nast, is an ode to '90s hip hop and features a guest verse from Method Man.[3][4][5] Their debut album, titled L.O.R.D., was set to be released in 2014, however the album was shelved.
On January 18, 2015, A$AP Mob founder, Steven "ASAP Yams" Rodriguez, was found dead at the age of 26.[6][7] The cause of death was ruled an overdose due to mixed drug intoxication.[8]
One of the more creative left-field hip-hop figures to surface during the late 2000s/early 2010s, New Jersey-based producer Clams Casino, born Michael Volpe, landed his first collaboration after contacting the Pack's Lil B via MySpace. The MC proceeded to use several Clams Casino productions, all of which were trippy, wistful, and strangely emotive, for the likes of "Realist Alive," "Motivation," and "I'm God." The last one of those three was also used by Soulja Boy for "2 Milli." Volpe's profile gradually rose as word got out that he was the one behind these tracks, as well as material by Main Attrakionz, Main Attrakionz's Squadda Bambino, and Mobb Deep's Havoc. In March 2011, he uploaded a free 13-track mixtape of instrumentals -- something of a highlight reel, along with a previously unused beat. This preceded the first official Clams Casino solo release, the Rainforest EP, which was issued by Tri Angle that June. Additional instrumental mixtapes were issued in 2012 and 2013, a period during which tracks by the likes of A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, and Blood Orange were released with his production work. Among Volpe's more notable collaborations to surface in 2014 and 2015 were ScHoolboy Q's "Gravy," FKA twigs' "Hours," and three cuts from Vince Staples' Summertime '06. Signed to Columbia, Volpe made his major-label debut as an artist in 2016 with 32 Levels. A fourth instrumental mixtape appeared in 2017.
Marcel Everett (born October 31, 1995),[1] better known as XXYYXX, is an electronic musician and record producer from Orlando, Florida, formerly signed to the label Relief in Abstract.
His style is likened to Clams Casino, Zomby, Burial, James Blake and The Weeknd.[2] His musical influences include Lapalux, Star Slinger, Disclosure and Shlohmo.[4]

He's Friends with Zoe Lawton. Everett gained prominence within the indie music culture in late 2013.[1][4][5][6]
Everett has remixed for artists such as Tinashe and Usher.[7][8][9] In 2014, he created the song "What We Want" for the video game Grand Theft Auto V. This song was included for the expanded soundtrack that was a part of the re-release of the game on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 systems.[10] He headlined the San Francisco Noise Pop Festival in February 2013.[5][11]
In 2015, Everett released the single "Red",[12] about which he commented that "I was trying to express a feeling, and I got that more effectively".[6]
He spent the majority of 2016 touring the U.S., playing notable festival gigs such as Shambhala Festival,[13] Beach Goth,[14] Mysteryland, and Ancient Future. He was also credited on Torey Lanez's 2016 single "Flex", featured on his album I Told You. [15]
