Derek and Family I was so sorry to hear the news of your recent break-in. The fact that somebody out there would do that to such a kind family as yours is unbelievable. @Freiherr Dinckelacker I’m from the south and I can tell you my parents had their farm broken into several times recently. It is all the tweakers. It’s really a National problem but def bad down south.

That's why I have 7 security cameras hooked to a DVR in my shop and 7 on the 1 in my house and with my 7 kids my brother and sister living on the first 80 acres I bought next to my parents and all them have security cameras nobody gets on our property without being seen by a camera and 1 gets good tag shots along the driveway we just keep picking up small properties around us as they come up for sale nobody wants land near ours they can't spray chemicals within a quarter mile because our beehives are registered

My brother raced at a 1/4 mile paved track in Columbus Wisconsin for ten years back in the 90s. Of course I just watched from the stands, watching the in-car video is great. This brings back a lot of memories. If you aren't trading paint you are not in the mix, great driving, great video!

let me tell you - you a really good racer! great restarts out of the gate.. you should try asphalt or dirt racing. Youd be good at it. I've run enduro series racing on dirt and its a blast!!! 100- 200 laps of fun if you can stay out of trouble.. you looked great out there! gave the WD boy a great run! id love to be out there ! its the IROC of the freedom 500!

Those dang plastic intakes. The weakest part of an otherwise awesome engine design. I own a 2005 Grand Marquis with the same 4.6L engine, (6 years older than your 2011 version there). So I've just been through it, had the entire intake manifold replaced. We went with the Doorman direct replacement rather than NOS Ford, because it was about $700 less expensive. So far, so good! Of course, I don't drive my Marquis hard like you're expected to do there. Mine is in "old man" mode, and that's the way I like it. That said, she can catch up to just about anyone on the highway if she has to.

Those dorman intakes rob a ton of power. I think that's why he was having trouble keeping up even with nitrous. Edelbrock makes a cast one.

It looks like a feller had some experience behind the wheel of a short track race car. Judging by previous videos and a few comments. Great job wheelin that grocery getter ! It was fun to watch. Kinda neat that my dad's number has been 177 he used to race cross country dirt bike I used to watch him after I finished with my runs in the kids class, I started out on a Yamaha 50, then a Honda CR70, and a Suzuki drz125 before I got off bikes for awhile. I recently found a 1999 yz250 and have fixed it up

Watching the race from your driver perspective was freaky me out i don't know how you do it My heart was in my throat the whole time i could never even attempt to compete in such an event and you should be proud, just for participating all though i don't believe in participation trophy's you deserve acknowledgement for your athleticism.

Recommendation. get your own crown vic and tinker with it at your garage so you will know the tuning tricks when you get back to the track.

Your good humour, after retiring through no real fault of yours, says a lot about you - sporting and professional. The paint job stood out among the others; the youngsters did a great job.👍😁
