Hey, its me again guys, and I uploaded another GREAT song by Freedom Call, Rise Up which is, in my opinion their greatest song ever. *This isn't a video*
I downloaded it almost a decade ago from Ares, and it was labelled "Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame", I shit you not. I'm glad I managed to find the real band though, eventually =P
Rise Up Who wants to live forever Here in a world of shame Living under pressure Hearts are filled with pain It's time Time to break free Time for a jouney through dimensions A neverending ride Rays of hope from somewhere Come from deep inside Over and over I'm lost in bad dreams And into the void I stare Rise up to heaven, where eden lies A lost asylum, somewhere beyond Rise up forever, out of the dark Pain and sorrow, left in the past I'll carry on to safe my life I'll ride on the wings of storm I'm still alive, free inside My heart and soul reborn Over and over I'm counting my tears I'm alone with all my fears Chorus/Solo Over and over I'm lost in bad dreams And I'm counting all my tears Chorus
I dunno why, but while I do love the big orchestral/choir power metal bands like Rhapsody, Nightwish and Avantasia, sometimes it's just cool to go back and listen to these low budget power-metal bands. I think what sucks me in most is the dual harmonies. They just sound so awesome.
all this talk about this song being renamed as a rhapsody aong on lime wire. I downloafed a Rhapsody song called "04 Guardians of Destiny" but it wasnt Rhapsody. Sounded alot like freedom call. Anyone have that same dilemma?
Stuff like this would occasionally happen back during my time on Audio Galaxy in the early 2000s before it was shut down. Sometimes people mislabel songs, I actually had a song by Heavenly (it was "Our Only Chance") that was listed as a Freedom Call song, which I knew had to be a mistake since the singer sounded completely different. The one cool thing about it though was that is how I discovered Heavenly. lol
Ahaha that's funny, exactly the same thing happened to me.. was looking for the rhapsody song and instead I ended up downloading this one.. and it was audio galaxy in fact ..just like the other guy here is saying. Anyway it was nice to discover this beautiful song even if by accident
thats very great best masterpiece freedom call crystal empire classic album legendary of the world. love great best band favorite freedom call. thank you guys freedom call the true power metal forever 🤘🎸
@warlord070 A similar experience happened for me with their song Palace of Fantasy, it was mislabeled Gargoyles by Rhapsody of Fire on an mp3 downloading site which made little sense till I realize the truth months later.
@warlord070 I heard this song many years ago on an mp3 with the band name of Rhapsody... so I thought the same thing until I started to know metal more. They are both very good groups, but not the same.
inf act i downloaded it on Emule, and the title was Rhapsody Power of Dragonflame... which i knew it wasn't, but Years later, i could use Soundhound on mvl app, to guess the song! xD
@jlorihen Actually I've been listening to this song for almost 8 years! I found it tagged as "Power of the dragonflame - Rhapsody". I don't speak english a lot, so it took me so many time to understand that part when he sings "I'll carry on to save my life...". So epic search for a song!
@ElPlastico213 absolutely. dragonforce has 1 or 2 songs which you "can hear". but rhapsody is the best and most ingenious symphonic metal ever. almost every track of them is pure epicness. dragonforce is an example for the fact that speed isn't all what you need for a good song. their vocals are no competition for fabio lione. rhapsody's songs are much more complex. maybe that's why they aren't into mainstream media. the consumers want easy going music, not an artwork.
@warlord070 hahahaha i thought it was rhapsody tooXD one of my friend gave me a cd full of rhapsody songs and i was like...not bad.... but the last song of the cd was the best songs i've ever heard lol it took me 2 years to realise it wasn't rhapsody,it was rise up by freedom callXD
@warlord070 the very same thing happened to me, in those days the title of the song said only "Rise up" and there wasn´t internet to know who was the author :)
Me tooo! and The Wandered by Freedom Call I also used to listen to Mario Minor by Powerglove, Now I listen to Gammar Ray, Dragonland, Angra, Sabaton, Amaranthe, and Disturbed :D what other bands do you listen to now? I can't get enough of power metal haha
since I first heard power metal...(about 2-3 years ago) I've always thought this song was from Rhapsody...so blinded x.x still...I fucking love the song...its so freakin epic..
+adfowlkes71 Totally dude. A lot of power metal seems to be very prog inspired. You should try Power Quest, they have a very proggy Van Halen vibe, but still very power metal.
