Governments around the world have taken the opportunity provided by the rise of this virus and that fear which surrounds it to make blatant power grabs with utter disregard for the rights of their citizens, and allowing such actions to stand gives them all of the strength of a legal precedent for generations to come. If we haven’t the right to decide whether or not we will get a vaccine, or wear a mask everywhere for every thing, or clap three times when they tell us to, then our children will grow up in a world where those rights and many others are ignored by their governments, and soon enough we will forget the very concepts of individual God-given rights and government by consent of the governed.
