The Joy of the Lord is our strength 💪 and He came so we could have a life full of Joy and peace in the midst of our troubles! 💛 It wasn't easy for me to grasp this because I thought I was owed something for all my abuse and trauma but God is so gracious and loving that He took the time to renew my mind through His Word and the freedom I feel today is the Joy I stand on everyday through every situation I face! Praise Jesus 🙌 Stay encouraged everyone and know that God loves YOU so very much!

Does that mean I can now, as a follower of Jesus, steal, kill and commit adultery? Sounds like what Satan the “thief” is all about. In the Bible Gods law is called the law of liberty - because in following His law, we find true joy! When we love God with all our heart, and love others, then we will want to have God as our number one, and we won’t want to hurt others (by stealing, killing, telling lies, etc). Jesus Himself said in the Bible, “if you love me keep My commandments.” And yes there is a big difference between someone who is sour and mean and judgmental, who thinks they can be saved by following the law, and someone who obeys what God days out of a heart bursting with love for Him.
