Sadly the last four years have shown that most people want to be told what to do. They have no idea what freedom actually is and could not recognise it if it dropped into their lap. But even worse than that, most people actively work towards reducing freedoms that already exist, wittinly and unwittinly thinking this will bring them safety and security when the very opposite is true.
Not only personal responsibility but moral responsibility and a lot of of today’s society lack morals and they don’t like being accountable for their actions , I have them in my family and friends this why i now I have distanced myself from them don’t need toxic people in my life
@@thesheepman220 Spot on. This was one of the things Jesus taught about - the importance of moral responsibility. And doing what is right makes us happier and fulfilled.
Abstract slavery is not freedom, it's all most people know. I reject tax, welfare, healthcare, police, government, and have nothing but responsibility. It's worth it. God approves.
@@nigelwatson2750 A key element of their control Web is the undermining, prevention and outlawing of alternative ways of life and economic existence. So free are we that we cannot 'decline' Government. In effect, we are the vassals of strangers we do not know and whom we disagree with. With freedom such as this we have to seek contentment?
@@pablolowenstein1371 Good point: government is an offer that can't be declined. If you try, the state will use legalised violence against you, and hold you ransom until you pay what they say you owe them.
Hi Nigel, for me freedom is to choose own lifestyle and how to use own time , to choose friends, to do work that gives you a sense of responsibility, which brings a sense of freedom from the feeling of futility..Taking care of my own life and pay my bills feels like freedom .Living in Independent country is freedom...Enjoy your day and the seaside if you go there 🌊😊 , God Bless you too ..Thank you for your great speaking as always .❤🇫🇮

@@catherinefranklin9128there's a difference between serving others by your own free will, as opposed to it being forced upon you under an oppressive political regime. Also church and state are separate
The concept of freedom and the concept of taxation are mutually exclusive and cannot logically co exist much like freedom and government Freedom is a responsibility however a responsibility to fix your own problems A responsibility which unfortunately those who choose victim status refuse to take Bless your heart Nigel Happy Monday
@@nigelwatson2750 Can't say I'm dazzled Nigel Historically many teachers have warned us George Orwell springs to mind he wrote a short paper called Politics and the English language Very good
The first commandment says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," which ultimately means don't put your life in the hands of someone who didn't create it, basically don't be a normie, don't be a slave. This commandment comes before don't steal and don't kill and love your neighbor. Because if you get the first commandment wrong, all the decisions you make after that will be wrong. So parents will take their kids to the concert thinking they're making a gesture of love, but it's the complete opposite. The only way to solve this situation would be for the entire world population to observe the first commandment, which isn't easy because Satan offers us so many comforts and entertainment and most people choose him. Everyone has to make their own personal journey and choose how to live their life. We can't decide for others. I think that this decision is the ultimate purpose of our lives.
Wonderful words , i`m honoured to be able to listen to this video . The words of Jesus ...........i learn from you and i spread my word as far as i can , it`s beautiful and so exhilarating , words are freedom , but we can and must VOTE or way out from tyranny and then we can use the 10 commandments as our Laws
I think one of the problem is - that with freedom comes responsibility. That is why I suspect most of public don't really want it - because it does mean having take hard decisions sometimes. That was kind of wake-up call to me - when lockdowns were implemented, just people unwilling to question them, and rather worryingly - a lot of people liking them, and liking the fact that the government was making most of the decisions that effect their life.
Sadly as long as currency exists we will never be free as we will always have to pay to do what we want to do. Unfortunately I just don't see a way out of this as I can't see any society moving away from a currency system.
Really enjoyed the video. I like the connection to Christianity. One of the best things about technology and AI is how they let small teams or even just individuals to leverage it and do big things. In the future, I think we’ll see more entrepreneurs working in small teams, tackling specific, niche problems instead of just having a few big corporations running everything. Before that we might see a few big monopolies, like now. This kind of shift could make work a lot more fulfilling, giving people the freedom to actually make an impact in what they do, rather than just being another cog in a big machine. Just my thoughts
People will always trade freedom for 'safety' and 'convenience'. Its such a sad state of affairs, but i believe its the frog in the pan at the moment and people dont realise they're being cooked. When they do, it'll be too late for them.
Andrew Tate, love him or hate him, said it as it is. Why have slaves that you have to feed, house and look after when they're ill when you can make them feed and look after themselves and have them think they are free!
For the people are not awake or who are most likely choose to be ignorant too the truth , None of the wicked will understand , but those who are wise will understand , And as the modern saying goes these people , need to wise up quickly
by the way, this is good timing, because Lab may soon introduce a policy to make mountainous amounts of money from tax payers who are in the process of buying their own property. Freehold house ownership would become a thing of the past and the occupants would become lease holders, That means they will pay a fee for their own home. They will kind of pay a site fee to Gov
You could argue that given the amount of council tax that 'home owners' already pay to the state, they don't truly own their homes even now. I also think that they will go for a land value tax too - so everybody will end up renting their home from Comrade Starmer.
@@nigelwatson2750 I don't know anyone that owns their home because they all have mortgages. That means the bank owns the house, not them. Miss one payment on the mortgage and the banks will close in with the axes. People are deluded. I think you're right that home ownership and car ownership will fade from existence
I’m 40 and live with my mother she doesn’t mess me about though I want to be single to a degree because of ptsd I experienced as a young man I want to look after her in the bad times coming I love my poor old mum❤
lots of people I know they feel something not right but can't face it they just go with it so to not draw attention or just want to go on with their lives as normal but the slow creep does not stop
I dont remember the "Freedom!" call, but, with a few more years than you Nigel, I do remember Cliff Richards' "Power to all our friends To the music that never ends To the people we want to be Baby, power to you and me". When you analyse these things they mean anything or nothing. But they are feel good songs. Cliffy's seemed very edgy at the time. I guess, to a seven year old, they speak of self assertion. It could have been worse and I could have listened to Lennon's Imagine. Never get sucked into music or poetry!
A very powerful message. Just by renaming the word " prison " to what it actually is ,down to the nuts and bolts, as a " cage" , shows it for what it really is, and takes away it's superior status as an acceptable tool for ALL "wrong" doing. And for a body of people to take money from what you have earned and then been paid , and have the power to use that " potentially " against your best interests or will, is so wrong.
I look at it this way. Imagine a castle in medieval times. I have the choice to enjoy the safety of living within the castle walls, but in doing so, I have to give up my freedoms, and conform to the rules of living within the castle, and live a life of servitude, and pay burdensome taxes. Or I live a life of freedom outside the castle, but risk being robbed or killed by outsiders, or indeed by those within the castle. I'd probably choose to live within the castle, as I'm sure most would. Perhaps the Travelling/Romany communities have got it right, living a happy and free life, although they also tend to have wretched lives and die young.
No, you have it the wrong way around. It's far more dangerous to live amongst criminals inside the castle. The people that own and run the castle believe that there are too many people inside the castle, so they feed you food that poisons you, and from time to time, coerce you into absorbing other toxic 'Maxines'.
@@nigelwatson2750 Pori I have never been to. But it looks super nice based on the pictures I see online. Surely Pori also has way more affordable property prices than Espoo, or Kirkkonummi.
Nigel (and anyone else on here of course), what is your take on Vlads Presidential Decree re: people who want to flee the neoliberalism of the west? After genuine opinions....
I had a friend over for a coffee and he is the opposite opinion to me. In that I am more Libertarian and freedom minded (and I work for the state) and he believes in social welfare and state housing etc. We can sit and talk together, disagree on certain things but our basic morals are similar. Many people I know never question taxation etc. Eventually something has gotta give. I don't know what but it will be massive.
Certainly government should be confined to core services (to be agreed) but then other things should be a personal, group or charitable endeavour. Eg ifthe government cannot stop migration then the orovision fir those kigrants should be finded by the people who support it. Not me or the majority ofthe population. Government spends our money as if its their own. Its not, its ours.
The invisible hand of the market is a very good idea. However although there is evidence that it works in some parts of Asia I doubt very much it can work anywhere in the West. Although I accept the premise of an anarchic state being fundamentally the finest expression of natural law, I doubt very seriously whether there are sufficient numbers to enable such a system, therefore my preferred system is direct democracy without representation, one which is augmented by artificial intelligence. The beauty of such a system is that the technology already exists to support this kind of direct democracy and the artificial intelligence agents exist to support the personal preferences of each individual citizen on the planet if such a system was introduced. Each individual could vote through the same platform, in one that can be democratically controlled by everybody and maintained by a council which is also democratically selected by everybody simultaneously through an elected council. The council members cannot be paid or hold any financial interest whatsoever.. They cannot support family, children, business or any community. Their role is to the exclusive purity of natural law. Their appointments are for life. If they retire they cannot own anything or pass a legacy of anysort to anyone, even in death.
The invisible hand of the market transformed Britain between 1750 and 1870, creating the biggest improvement in material living standards ever seen. Economic freedom also transformed Hong Kong prior to the CCP takeover. These are facts.
Of course, but you wont get the sell, ever. Consider very carefully the forces such ideas are up against, and the entrenched and hidden powers behind it. ONLY collective powerful action can stop it. This is FACT, and its the only one you must accept.
@@ShaneMorris0n No, no, no! Collectivism is EXACTLY what they want to impose on us. Each of us must choose of our own free will to withdraw our consent, and also become better people - live our lives more in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The concept of government is good - however it is populated by people who are prepared to bend the legislation their way & abuse it's use incorrectly. This is a trend that has always consistently happened and I forsee that that will continue until a much higher authority aka God comes & sorts it all out properly 😊
Why do you assume a monopoly? Monopolies are created by government who errect barriers to entry that prevent new firms from entering an existing market to undercut the competition.
@@nigelwatson2750 That may work well when selling mushy peas and pints, or mink coats, but not so well with single source commodities like water. The Chinese Communist Party own a good portion of Yorkshire water, post privatisation of utilities.
@@searchingfortruth4783 Single source commodities? Word salad garbage. Springs and access to ground water is practically ubiquitous. You are a statist. It's you that causes monopoly via your support for 'regulation', which prevents competition.
@@nigelwatson2750 And it is Randian fantasist theories, such as libertarian objectivism, that prevent a proper debate about the appropriate role of government, however limited and bounded by the population, from taking place. Socialism is a failed, debunked project, but pure libertarianism, has never been entertained in any country in history, due to it being blatantly ridiculous, and unworkable in a modern economy, as is Left Anarchism. Fantasy land economics.
Mark 12:14 'They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. @@nigelwatson2750 'Some say “Render unto Caesar” simply means pay your taxes. That's all. Others say this really has nothing to do with legitimizing taxes, but simply giving back to Caesar what he created, namely the coin itself. So if we're going to use Caesar's money, we have to pay his taxes, too.'
@@Enzo012 No, it doesn't mean that at all! Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's is an example of Jesus having fun with his opponents. The State produces nothing. Therefore, nothing rightfully belongs to Caesar.

my gripe with "truth" is it is not absolute.... eg 2 people hold a stick.. one at each end ... 1 person says the stick is pointing north... the other says it is pointing south... who is telling the "truth"?
