I loved it when the Freedom entered it's first major battle, just as the Archangel was about to get destroyed, it blows up the gun of the enemy suit and forces it away before making sure it was in the way of the enemy and the ship, then proceeding to demolish the enemy forces nearby, that is how you debut one heck of a mecha!
The funniest reusing of animation instances in Seed Destiny was the captain of the Minerva turning around in her chair when something dramatic happens. They use it like five times an episode.
This scene screams when the protagonist have been to hell and back and back again and then back. they are so unstoppable now with all of the bullshit they had to go through. and rightfully so.
The latter part of Gundam SEED Destiny made me realize that it was not just Kira who is overpowered but also because Freedom Gundam is a highly capable machine. Kira without Freedom Gundam won't be too powerful and Freedom Gundam without Kira won't reach its full potential.
Hmm i think its more like Kira can’t go on about his ideals of just disarming without Freedom. If he doesnt care much about fighting to disarm schtick, Kira could go on a rampage with about any gundam.
@@John-to6sl for funnsies i put him in the Destroy in Sd Gundam Crossrays. Its never felt good, his borderline whining got on my nerves. So i put in Meer Campbell instead, alongside her bubly idol music. Boiiiiiiiiiiii
@@John-to6sl Yeah, when Kira went to rescue the eternal in the Strike, he put up a good fight but almost got destroyed. If Kira was fighting to kill I think he could have fended off all the enemy, but since Kira was fighting to disarm, the Strike's capabilities were not enough
@@kekbin1697 he ain’t the only Gundam pilot who survived a situation he should have died in. Hero self destructed his Gundam and live as well. But he does have plot armor, but so do everyone else in the series when Kira legit fights none lethal.
Kira is literally the highest potential a person can get to (Ultimate Co-ordinator + SEED Mode) along with Freedom having an unlimited power source (Nuclear), unrivaled accuracy, the highest speed, and the Multi-Lock-On system. Plus its theme music is ‘Meteor’, a song so good that in the remaster, they removed its first use and only kept it for Freedom’s debut. It then returns when Freedom attacks everyone in the Orb Fleet battle: - Slices off Impulse’s arm - Disables Abyss’s engines - Slices off Gouf Ignited’s arm - Shreads Chaos to pieces - Curb stomps Gaia - Blows up the Tanhauser All in one deployment.
A real bad ass moment. This and when he managed to damage Abyss underwater with a shot from above. Unfortunately, this is probably only the two times that Kira managed to do something himself against somewhat strong opponents. and even in this moment Savior was not directly serious in this fight.
what episode is this ? Thank you. I am just at ep 25 but I did not see the saviour getting sliced by freedom. Can you pls tell me what ep is this ? Thanks
Nostalgic. SEED: Amazing, despite the flaws which I don't really mind. Destiny: Disappointing but good. I never expected the new protagonist could turn into a villain before returning the role to the SEED one, carrying the same flaws along with reused / recycling animations for every episodes.
If only Kira has that rule where "okay, enough is enough, time to end you", he wouldn't have lost to Shin in Destiny, he might not even need Strike Freedom, just Freedom is more than enough.
actually he did have that mindset IMO. at one point he was going to slice right at the cockpit area but Shinn used the impulses separation ability to dodge it
You know it's unfair when a freedom can disable you knowing full well that anytime anywhere he could kill you this gundam was basically superman of gundams
People rag on Kira all the time because he just won’t die. But I think it’s noble that after getting the Freedom and it’s upgrade he never once intentionally targeted vital areas of the enemy that would kill them.
@@Symar684 as you can see in the animation, those explosions weren't enough to cause any harm to the armor, so yeah, pretty sure no pilot was harmed when he did that. The only situation a pilot was kill was Heine, after a supprise when he got his MS Arm cut off, forget to mind his position, get in the way of the Gaia, got cut from the back by the Gaia, he died, yeah, but that was not cause by Kira/Freedom at all.
@@Symar684 ok, now I see what your wording. What do you mean by "save"? Those places were battle field, Kira just tried to stop others from fighting, he never meant to "save" anyone.
The engineer who built this thing needs a promotion or at least a kiss from Lacus. The Freedom was a mobile nuclear reactor that sustained itself, let that sink in. The level of absurdity here is just coockoos 🤣
Correct. The scary thing is Justice is the close range focused suit, Freedom is meant to be the mid range one. That Kira is this dangerous in a ranged unit, imagine if he and Athrun swapped, letting Kira fly the Justice to just wreck shop in melee combat.@@Touyat118
Athrun wasn't serious in this battle, as we can see in his face even after the Savior got whooped by the Freedom, he was still processing his thoughts and did not display fear nor anger. He knew Kira would not kill him as they were equal and best friends. Even through Kira's expressions we can see this was a casual sparring with Athrun not focusing entirely on the battle, unlike the Strike / Aegis battle. I think what this series tries to highlight is that Kira and Athrun are equal and there can never be one that loses against the other due to their strong friendship and skills.
sureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, and I guess your next statement is going to be that Shin is a better pilot than kira as well. You dumb or something?
Athrun and kira is equal.. in this battle from beginning athrun and kira both are not serious.. but kira change to serious mode to win with athrun because he need to win argument with athrun not because he want to win fighting with him... athrun not move to serious mode because he loss words with kira in argument not because he lost in fighting
Kira was the best of this series. It had to die with his parents. His potential as a pilot was limitless. This opening fight alone is a statement to that. He didn’t fight to kill but disable and disarm.
Unless you opponent uses actual strategy to completely counter you. Then you get impaled with a antiship sword survive a nuclear explosion point blank. And are useless till the plot gives you an even more op Gundam. He has killed people just before the freedom and when the plot didn't need him to be marry sue
@@squirlking2 I think the pilot is Kira yamato ultimate coordinator And it's unit specialty is high mobility (HIMAT) AND Fast enough to catch up with Saviour GUNDAM with a problem after all it's pilot is Kira yamato the ultimate coordinator not A little pony
ONE MORE THING FREEDOM AND STRIKE FREEDOM SPECIALY MADE FOR FAST MOVEMENT AND HIGH EVASION LIKE JUSTICE AND INFINITE JUSTICE (NOT FAST THAN FREEDOM) AFTER ALL BOTH OFF THEM CAN RUNNING OUT WAR EVEN THERE IS PROVIDENCE AND LEGEND OR DESTINY
@@QATHSUME The freedom and stroke freedom run off a nuclear reactor they are both stronger then the other suits. Their only equals are the destiny, the Providence, the justice, and the infinite justice. It is not important that kira is the Mary Sue god genetic super soldier of the show. When they plot needs him to lose he does. When he doesn't have an ace suit he's useless. He's not a soldier. The fans and show prop kira up way more then he should be. Till kira can hold off 3 Gundams on his own in a grunt suit with nothing but a beam saber athrun is the better pilot. Of all the Gundam shows kira has absurd plot armor.
what we watched as kids is hapening in Gaza/Palestine right now~ i cant imagine anyone watching the conflict not being reminded of gundam. the show even takes place in that region~ 🇵🇸 'Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].' Quran (30:41) 'and let there be arising from you a nation inviting to all that is good forbidding what is wrong and those will be successful' Quran (3:104)
until it got shot down by the Impulse, then kira basically entered god mode, when he got the strike freedom, cos not once did that MS ever get damaged.
i watch all of gundams and in my own opinion kira is the best pilot of all gundam franchise its hard to just disable mobile suit and never kill its pilot
some people are even still protesting about the shape of the earth, I don't know how fast the development of Gundam can be achieved by mankind at least in this century
