The original from Freemasons was released in 2007, featuring powerful vocals from Siedah Garrett and a bassline melody that just hit the spot.
This tune was one of many from that time that got me through a tough period and it was only recently that I heard the "You got the power" vocal sample used in some other scenario.
I recognised it and then found the original and it lifted me - then I started wondering if there had been a proper attempt at a Drum & Bass remix that kept the original vibe... there wasn't!
So I found the vocal acappella and learned the chords to play in my own music software, built up the track from there and this is the result!
