Nice review! I cannot wait to try my evolution out in the BC winter this year. Where did you get that cell boost mount to put on the FSR? That seems perfect spot!
Heck yes! I hope you like it as much as I do. The cell boast mount came in the kit I purchased. Here is a link. It lines up very well with the tent. amzn.to/4655PSg
How much snow build up can the roof of the free spirit handle? Do you ever have to brush off snow build up? Or can it handle most Colorado winter weather?
Great question!! The most I have had it in so far is 5”. I will update if I encounter more. I broke a Roofnest in a storm with more than 5” last season. I would recommend brushing off snow when you can. Though I did not and it did not collapse on me.
As an FSR Evo 2 owner, I can tell you from experience that if you are expecting to have more than 6 inches of snow, your best best bet will be to let one side of it down and turn it into an a frame. These tents come with strut locks; snap those on and get in your tent and you will be more than fine. FSR is manufactured in Colorado, so it is absolutely built for Colorado winter. I love my tent and it is sturdy and can take some abuse. Please let me know if you have any more questions at all, I will be happy to answer what I can.
@@Engearment What would be the approximate coldest temperature that would not cause condensation to form on the inside of the canvas without using a heater?
Here in Colorado, we are good. I have camped in summer in Nebraska, Ohio, and Texas. It can get warm - so we use a USB powered fan in the tent. Helps quite a bit!
