BooteeM has a full water resistant breathable lining and more robust, thicker upper material with a protective overlay and no stretch. BooteeM is more sturdy although based on the same pattern as the old Bootee. BooteeM can still be rolled into a ball but is more durable than old Bootee Kidepo is a little more like the old Bootee
Love, love these shoes. They are the first shoes that truly both breath and keep your feet dry for hours. So much toe space that I have used almost solely them for the last year, only choosing other shoes when I am too lazy to do the laces or need something bit more representative to work etc. They work both during the Finnish summer and winter. They are very comfortable. Only minus is that you need to wear trousers or gaiters over them or you get rocks in your shoes very quickly. Would love to see a taller version of these without the rock problem. I find them quite durable, but after 10 months of heavy use they needed a quick visit to the cobbler to get some clue at the edge of the rubber sole and needed replacement insoles. They are not keeping my feet dry for hours in the forest, but still hold water quite well.
I have the Freet Connect 2s, which are similarly miraculous: the very thin upper is highly water resistant and breathable, but even on cold days I haven't needed more than a thin sock with it.
@walkwithme I haven't had them that long or worked them that hard, but they seem really durable and user reviews on their website suggest they last really well.
