As someone from Oakland now living in Texas, he ain’t lying about our hustle and grit.

I’m from LA when I was 16 moved to SAC 2011 and found out who the jacka was. Fell in love with his music. Shout out to C-BO who founded the MOB FIGAZ. Ima SoCal baby but Northern CA laced me up in my late teens and early 20s. Love.

Jack artist was 1 of my favorite rappers out of the bay most def. I thought him and AP9 were the dopest out the mob. I remember the day Jack died. I was celebrating my wife's 25th birthday at DaveNBusters, and I found out when I got home. I cried and was devastated for months. Im still hurt when I think about it now. Just a real tragedy for his son and his community. 💔

They took The Jacka at the worst time. His last project that he released while alive, _What Happened to the World: Street Album_ is bonkers. The production and delivery on that was dope, and Jacka was at a whole new level. He would have blown up bigger if he was around. People speculate that The Jacka being a peacemaker who was respected by everyone in Northern California is why he was killed. He was shot in public in front a crowd but there was never any security footage of it released. There's speculation that the Feds or the State had something to do with his death. His latest project had a political and social message in it, and TPTB find that threatening to the status quo.

The jacka passing was a huge loss for the bay hip hop culture.

RIP Jacka! MORE CRIME is my favorite song on cormega/legal hustle compilation. I still play it to this day.

I’m not from The Bay (I’m from North Side Minneapolis, Minnesota) but I like that smooth Cali music y’all got flow. It’s interesting hearing how different it is for y’all compared to other parts of the U.S.A. My Brody from Diego tells me how it is in Cali with certain things and it really is a different animal.

Oakland/Hayward/Richmond/Vallejo is where ive lived- im 43 now. When i heard the First Cbo featuring the MOB FIGAZ the first track on one of Cbo's earlier album's...then heard their first group album... especially the track "Hustlin in the rain" it was like the bay had the Bay version of 2Pacs Outlaws. They were dope as fuck but The Jacka and Huslah stood out, along with Fed X but he did'nt really do the music like that. Then The Jacka solo album came out, i bought at a mom n pops record shop outta the mission in the city. Since then he's been on every rap playlist ive ever had, always looking for a new project damn near weekly. We slapped The J.A. because he knew what hurt us and what makes us. He not only talked about all aspects of life but damn near showed us what do do to make it out. literally painting a map of the journey. Thats why he stayed in the slums....when he couldve been in a mansion. He was the care taker damn near a big brother to us. I shed a tear for The Jacka i dont shed tears for anyone besides close family. Hurt a 100 times worst then MAC DREs death. Every once in a great while i look for new Jacka hoping maybe I'll get lucky. LONG LIVE THE JACKA

There's a only handful of rappers who recorded as much music as Jacka did. I hope Freeway can put together a _Highway Robbery 2._ I wouldn't mind if it had a few recycled verses from their other lesser-known mixtapes/albums from each of their catalog's. As long as the finished songs make sense thematically or melodically.
