Yea,It’s almost as if social economics, low wages and low resources are keeping impoverished communities in a repetitive cycle so it’s hard for them to overcome their circumstances.
@@thatoneguy4150 yes that is one of the reasons that make it more difficult to overcome but if we don't make revolution the ecosystem itself we die from this system that puts profit over people and the planet aka capitalism.
Rick Ross probably 60 something years old and still have to get permission to live in certain neighborhoods. That shows how entrenched gang culture in LA is.
So you get a loan from a Bank most likely to even get the Property, go to the Property with a Realtor, and then before I can officially purchase the house I have to check in with the Local Gang who probably Don’t Own shit over there but the Fear they place on the residents in that community smh. Essentially you’re checking into a Black Man so Another Black Man doesn’t Rob and Kill you, smh absolutely terrible that is. This a Major reason if not the absolute Main reason No one Takes the Black Lives Matters seriously, i was with the Movement when it first came about just because I’m Considered black so I was rocking with it just off GP, (good peoples) but I’m 29 now and my standpoint on the movement in General has changed for the worst, not only has it been a Cop out excuse to act up type ordeal, and because it’s strictly a business now not a movement so the Roots of the movement has been contaminated because the Woman behind the movement are banking off it while Blacks are killing each other past an Alarming rate and nothing is being done about it in our own communities smh.
This knicka is slow😐I didn’t think he was this slow. He may have been smart enough to have gotten himself “free” but he’s still a prisoner to some of the fug shii I see.
This explains why he keeps doing these interviews. He needs funds. He been out from prison a long time and keeps talking about all these different projects he’s working on but he’s still living in the hood. He talks about weed, boxing promotion, a record label, merchandise, etc, but they must not be bringing in the funds like he needs so he’s trying to get as much face time as possible to hopefully get some more customers. Can’t knock the hustle but instead of throwing stuff at the wall hoping stuff sticks he might want to focus on one thing at a time.
100% agree if u watch the 85 south show he did he seemed uncomfortable and also stated he’s looking for an artist and has 200k for em. which with resurfacing i doubt but still have to promote
Why would you think he still had money in the first place? He got convicted for trafficking. The government strips you of everything in the process of that.
Vlad people in the hood are a different breed today...it was not like that back in the day. I'm born and raised in the hood and my head on a swivel when I go home to visit.
@@Dreaaddy No They Took Everything...20 Something Years and You Think He Had Money Left? I Met Rick When He First Came Home and He Was Really Starting From Scratch.
“You know, a lot of people may not know this, but when Bloods move into my hood, they gotta get permission from me to live there. Real talk.” - TK Kirkland
I get all that bro I aint knockin him or nothin all im sayin is if u have to have permission to stay in a certain area you shouldn’t be living there in the 1st place
People that criticize FW for acknowledging what he has to do but fail to realize, that in almost every community, you have to be accepted to live there regardless of who you are. Try moving to gated community and you'll instantly realize what time it is.
They changed the name south central to South LA around 2004 or 2005 I believe.. I was like 10 years old but I remember the reaction of the neighborhood being outraged
I could only assume because of the history of south central people were disrespected by the change of the name. That’s like over here in NY they tried to change the name of Harlem to “SoHa” and people here weren’t having it!
Plus if police know freeway live over there you know much more police would be patrolling their hood, for someone who’s not from there? It’s more than you think
Well the thing is they do own their own homes by way of family parents grandparents.. LA isn't full of buildings like NYC it's mainly homes homes that were brought and paid for a generation back..my friend in the fruit town neighborhood lives in the house his parents left him he just sold his grandparents house for close to a million... remember u had middle income to upper middle income blk neighborhood all over LA...
Damn I used to live in the Denver Lanes too on 109th st. Still a very active & dangerous section in South Central and yes you need to get the FRG/DLB's permission to live there somewhat comfortably. They have to make sure you're not a threat to their turf and operation and that makes sense to anyone from L.A. I heard It's been that way for about 50 years now.
Yeah it only makes sense to you dummies. A bunch of ignorant niggas who kill their own ppl and cause mayhem and down OWN A GODDAMN THING telling ppl they need permission to live somewhere. They should be in jail or dead.
@@BearFaceTV well I feel what you saying, he shouldn’t have to ask to live anywhere and damn at 62 I didn’t know that. But nevertheless I’m from LA, and unfortunately some neighborhoods are likethat, especially coming from a different hood. You gotta have those conversations.
@@ima8533 Bye! You and I both know them gangs don’t own those fcking blocks they police. 🙄 Most of these urban neighborhood blocks/property aren’t owned by the people who live in the community. Same thing happened with O’Block a white man sold that. They may own a house on that block but not the entire block.
THIS MAN LIVES DEAD IN ONE OF THE WORSE HOODS IN L.A. AND NO ONE HAS TOUCHED HIM THAT SHOWS YOU THE LOVE HE HAS HAD FOR DECADES AND THE RESPECT HE GETS EVEN TIL TODAY... SMDH..BOSS💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m lost. Is it mandatory that he lives where he live? Cuz if I have to get permission to live there then why tf would I live there and not just live somewhere else? Or am I bugging
People saying he's broke because he lives in the hood. Needs to know what you can afford in the hood of LA is a Mansion in most places in this country.
0:21-0:37 I remember you saying this in an interview with someone.. I can't remember who it was, but you said when you interviewed Lil Eazy-E he had his pistol tucked, was paranoid, and he was constantly looking over his shoulder. That was it for you! You was like that was the last straw! AND I CANNOT SAY I BLAME YOU PERIOD AT ALL‼️THAT REALLY WAS BALLSY, AND BOLD ASF TBH NO SOME REAL SHYT!!
For y’all that don’t understand LA Freeway grew up in a Crip Hood ( Hoover ) and now he stays in Denver Lane ( bloods ). That’s why he needed permission. Bloods ain’t going to let crip dudes walk free in they neighborhood.
Its not their neighborhood tho 😂 letting grown men put fear in you and tell you what to do and all you want to do is live and they’ll probably be dead in jail by the time the year end
Freeway is fed up with Ye, but needs permission to live in a certain hood from people that don’t own the hood smh… you would think Ye would be the last thing on his mind… maybe he should worry about moving…
People really be famous as this man and live in the hood! I’m 29 years old and done well for my self and I live no where near the hood. Ain’t no way I’ll put my family in jeopardy
@@brandonrickbornponyexpress6574 intelligent... if he was he would have taken that settlement that Rick Ross was offering him to drop the case he put on Ross..I think they offered him 6 figures and he didn't accept and lost the case and got nothing...if he was intelligent he would have taken the money that the producers of snowfall was offering him to work or have his name linked to the show... he's not stupid but he's a terrible business man..
@@lamarkx2259 fame doesn't mean success I know a lot of rappers that are famous that still live in the hood ..also Rick was a drug dealer the feds took all his money he came out of prison broke
You know Ricc is a real OG Certified king Penn when he telling you as a rich man.....living in the hood and I his enemy hood...WTF DOES THAT TELL YOU....DAMN..😂😂😂🙏🔥🔥🔥💯💯
I had a buddy we will call him B-Rad from the Bu. He would constantly brag that he could be in any Hood- any given time- anywhere in the world and not get touched up. I said you can't even walk the suburbs where you live without getting your azz molly whop'd up and down the street (boy stayed w a black eye) let alone survivor any Hood. 🤦🏾♂️ Trust fund babies trying to be gangsters. He was trying to sell weed "just weed" for two whole years and was robbed every single transaction it was hilarious. Especially when you're a toothpick white boy trying hard to sound like MC Eiht "THE G WAS NOT IN HIM"
That’s totally insane!! Why live there if you don’t have too?? Clearly, you can afford to live somewhere else and still be respected by the black community. I bet that the people living there don’t have the choices you have to live somewhere else.
Wow, I didn’t think freeway was doing so bad he’s back in the hood. I know he served time but he talks like he’s got so much going on in entrepreneurial life that he would at least be living in the IE or in Vegas maybe in SD.
VLAD looking for a response and all he did was nod his head….he cut from a different cloth… most people would have been trying to drop “knowledge” or be eager to talk but he just listens and looks you in the eye…a different kind of king
Ya know something, in all these years I never realized or thought about what I was saying when I would say this characters name from the Dukes of Hazards. One of Boss Hogs deputies name was Roscoe Pico Train. I don't know if that means anything or not. If you break down the name. Roscoe, could be the origins of the chicken & waffle place know as Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. Pico as in Pico de guallo, hmm. Train as in well many thoughts come to mimd on that but in case you don't know the show I'm referring to it was set in the south back in the day when they were moonshining. They were just some good ol boys never meaning any harm. That's Bo & Luke Duke by the way. Oh I know a reference you might know. This is the origins of Daisy Dukes in case you don't. She was this gorgeous babe, she drove a jeep, she was a bartender. Anyways it's interesting. I think I've heard people in the Hip Hop game go by the name Boss Hog, I could be mistaken. Freeway Ricki said he made a mistake going to Roscoe's, he didn't say he made a mistake by going to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. I don't know if there is a distinction with a difference or without or if he is just f-in around.
I grew up in close proximity to where stated his shit. From pre-school to first year of Junior High. 76st between Hoover and Figueroa, worst neighborhood live in once Crack hit. Still a bad neighborhood.
LA is active and a lot of them looking to hit a lick to come up.. I got pressed one time for rocking that classic Blue LA hat by a blood.. I didn’t back down from the pressure. However, I owe Credit to My Lord and savior Jesus.. After that moment, I had to move different cuz I didn’t know if dude come back another day and catch me or my brother who like me slippen.. It’s sad, however I had to retire the dodgers hat cuz my life worth way more then a hat and/or to be argumentative with someone cuz my attire or colors..
