Part 1: • Freeway Ricky: You Got...
--------
In this clip, Freeway Ricky was asked whether or not he had any good days while in prison. Freeway Ricky said he had plenty and even admitted to wishing he had more time in some instances. He explained how he was able to improve himself while behind prison walls and doesn’t think he would’ve had the same time or motivation to make those improvements had he never gone to prison.

The difference is Ricky was in club fed for drug offenses and banky was locked up in the most vicious prisons DC/Virginia area maximum security joints with sociopathic killers and lifers. Just because both went to prison doesn’t make it the same type of place. It’s like 2 people saying they went to college, and one went to Harvard and the other went to a Phoenix online college. Both are technically “college”, but 2 very different experiences.

Facts. The state pen seems like where the local stick up kids and low level bangers go whereas the fed pen is more reserved for high profile criminals like major drug traffickers, mob bosses, crooked businessmen etc…. who’s illegal activity tends to border several states, sometimes several countries. Maybe some low level hood dudes who rob a federal bank might end up in the feds. I realize that prison is prison and no place to want to end up no matter what but them broke low level hood mfrs and hillbilly kkk mfrs in the state pen throwing piss and 💩 all over the cell and acting like savages cuz the co won’t let them make a phone call definitely make the state look like a damn zoo and complete hellhole compared to the Feds frfr

@YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech
You can get transferred to a lower security classification depending on your choices and behavior. It depends on your ego and how much aggression from others you can tolerate. In my opinion, if you aren't getting raped or killed. You don't need to fight. I never checked into PC as I was a GP inmate. But I was fortunate that I never got myself into a situation where I had to kill or check in. To be honest, if it did come to that, I probably would of checked in. The main objective in jail or prison if you are sane is to make it out. That should be your priority. Winning the respect of other inmates is not a priority. It may hurt your ego to avoid fighting, but it's the smarter choice. I'd only fight if I knew it wouldn't escalate to something more violent.
@mrjacktraeger
@mrjacktraeger Год назад
@@YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech how you gonna make it out if none of the other inmates respect you
@YTStopCensoringFreedomOfspeech
@@mrjacktraeger respect isn't always about fighting or not. You can befriend others in there while doing your time. The ones you cannot are mentally deranged. But most of them will not bother you if they know you will defend yourself. If you end up on a yard where everyone is in a gang and you are pressured to join one. It's likely because you are already a gang member or someone who wants to get involved with that lifestyle. If that's the case, you should already have protection and understand how to conduct yourself. In my opinion, its fake bangers that end up in that situation. Don't be claiming a gang just cuz your a associate of someone on the streets. If you end up in that yard and nobody knows who you are. You are putting yourself to be put on while in prison. In the streets, it's not so bad depending on how your gang does it. In prison, you can be sent to commit murder, then your few years ends up being life. You don't need the respect of anyone to make it in life. You just need goals, to be productive and surround yourself with good influences. It's no different than life on the outside. Who cares if another man respects you or not in prison. Your goal is not to live in there with them forever. If you start caring about what they think too much, you will end up making poor choices that keeps you in there. I've done jail and prison time in many yards. The system sends you based off your behavior. Guys like Ricky have a complete different demeanor and personality than Banky. They obviously don't end up in the same facilities for their sentences.

I understand what both are saying. There’s absolutely nothing that great about going to prison, but God can bless you in the midst of your troubles. You can learn a trade, learn to read, learn from your mistakes, meet some good people that made some bad choices, get closer to God. Yes I understand because for some people, prison just might have saved their life. But I most definitely understand what Banky is saying as well. What’s so good about being away from your loved ones, being in prison and your mother/father dies, being around some horribly dangerous people, the food sucks, it probably smells terrible in prison, got to shower with a bunch of others. I agree wholeheartedly with Banky. But some folks have gotten some benefits out of being forced into a situation where it made them stop and think and learn.

From what I’ve heard stateville is like a straight up zoo frfr a literal hell hole. It seems that most of the local stick up kids and low level bangers and broke criminals end up in the state pen whereas most high profile criminals and criminals with some type of wealth whose illegal activities stretched beyond state borders end up in the feds. Your enviroment doesnt control you, but you control your enviroment, once you can realize you harness the power from within to make things better. Also most people get stagnant and complacent on progress. If you continue the same routine without adding nothing new in your life for self improvement that can also make you depressed. Yeah we all have bad days as human beings, but we can change that and how we feel majority of the time if we make changes.
