I built this a year ago. Still fear it. But that didn’t stop me from upgrading the gear and now buying four Nerf whistles. The info on placing the 2 whistles in the nacelles was great info. Thanks Mike!
Did y'all notice the instructions said to put the 76mm pushrods on the outside flap servos? It was driving me insane. Thank you for confirming my suspicion though, it just makes more sense to put them on the inside flaps. Literally the only way it would work. They really gotta fix that mistake in the manual🤦
You keep making the comment that there is NO Flex! Maybe put a camera on the canopy and go for a flight. There is plenty of flex from everyone that has recorded thier flight. It reveals the fundamental difference of foam vs other structural mediums. The wings flex in any pitch pull and the body flex around the nacells as you throttle up or down. Still a great model.
Great vid! Glad I watched it. Since the assembly is so simple, I didn't think I needed to, but I learned a few new techniques I probably should have known already.
Just sitting here, putting mine together and wondering if i should lead the esc cables under the wood brace on the nacelles, just like on the horizontal stabiliser o,o sadly your vid doesnt answer that question
How do you open the EDF housing/nacelle to replace the motors? I bought a spare unit but with both screws removed, the 64mm EDF won't fit. Do I force it open and then glue back together?
just received mine....went together great, but the decals can not be separated to expose a sticky side. i cant put one decal on....any help would be appreciated ....
Waterslide decals? You have to soak them in water for a minute or 2 then slide them off and onto the model. We have a tip video on how to apply them on our Tips playlist. You can find it on our youtube home page
@@MotionRCThis a comment on this thread... I have to say I really like the decals on the Flightline and Freewing planes. No more water decals they work great and look professional for sure.
Where does the UBEC board connect? 24 years in the hobby but I'm new to electrics. Motion RC should team up with a Canadian distributor because I'm getting hosed on the shipping, duty and brokerage fees eh.
Big fan of you guys. So this what I have to ask lol. So I am going to be getting this plane soon and I was seeing if I can use my AS3X receiver with my DX8e will this work. I also will be adding the nerf ....Thanks for your time and keep up the good work
You definitely can, but if it's off another aircraft you will have to set it up for this aircraft. You can't drag and drop from a BNF to a different model entirely
@@vincentmounsey If you only fly BNF planes, then there is no "easy" way if what you seek is AS3X (I assume for safe?). Push come to shove, setting up a standard receiver is "easy" and a model like an A-10 doesn't really need a gyro as it is a very stable airframe to begin with. Long wings, lots of wing area. They can be really graceful.
@@MotionRC well thanks for taking the time to answer my questions I really didn't think that i would get a response so fast lolollll...well looks like I will be getting one lol..I am sure my wife is going to like this one lololll I mean that in a sarcastic way lololol..Once again thank you and this is y I have been a big fan of you guys..Keep up the great work...
No worries John Perry, this was a pre production model, all sticker sheets have the correct spelling and detail as the real aircraft. The planes that were shipped for the preorder have the final production sticker sheet, decals and planes.
With the level of detail this model has it isn't a surprise the typo was caught! Now I just have to save up enough (Canadian) dollars to get this beauty!
nice build till I see u have too glue ends together. if u have problem in the future where u need to replace or get to the back servos u will be screwed. ..
Been thinking of purchasing this beautiful bird come December 2017 when i have the extra cash and always wanted an A-10 but they were always turbine power or some cheap knock off electric.. But I was wondering how easy is it to transport? I only have a mid size SUV and transporting it in one piece is not an option for me. I guess what I'm asking is do the wings come off and go back together easily?
I don't know what part of the country your from so pricing might be different. Nerf vortex footballs are at Target 13.95 Walmart 14.95 and Toys "R" Us 16.99 yeah I buy a lot of whistles.
Michael Sanders CG is the center of gravity it's where the plane should balance out level can do this by moving the battery forward or backwards but check the manual
